Read again, poppy seed contain the same morphine and codeine as opium. With high enough consumption, you can actually get high on poppy seed as well. Urine test is done to specifically test for those substance in your urine no matter the source and therefore will give a postive, it is the follow up test that will prove negative, that is if the local police care enough to send the urine for further test instead of press charges based on the early result obtained from urine test.

I have tried this things in international borders and they are not stupid to prosecute me.
I've eaten curry with large quantity of poppy seed and have gone through the immigration in singapore countless times before and have been tested 2 times.

Poppy seed is not illegal in m'sia, but don't go getting a drug test for a couple of weeks if you just had poppy seed cake or something, because it will come out positive because you'll still have trace amount of codeine left in your body.
