The simple answer is watch what's convenient xD.

The Non koreans a lot join but again the numbers depend on which tournament you are watching. Dreamhack or EU based tourneys a lot of them. Asia side expect more Koreans.

The only non-Korean I could say held his own against Koreans is Guillaume "Grrrr..." Patry, because he's the only non-Korean who has ever won an OSL.

I already answered your question in my previous post.  The best Koreans right now? In my opinion? Innovation.  Soulkey.  Flash.  Rain.  And you still ask which non-Korean comes close to them?

None.  Not even close.

HuK, Thorzain and Stephano competed for EGTL in the just-concluded SPL.  They played against Koreans every week during the SPL.  Stephano was the "best" among the non-Koreans with a 4-8 win-loss record.  He's nowhere close to Korean level.  Grubby? Irrelevant since HotS was released.

HotS is a very unforgiving game for those who do not have the best mechanics.  So, as far as HotS is concerned, non-Koreans just do not have enough to match what Korea has.

I don't know how else you could talk about SC2 if you get bored with watching the best (the Koreans), while everyone else in the world watches them so they could learn more than just builds.

Edit: By the way, Stephano will be retiring after August 15 to start medical school so yeh, one less of the best non-Koreans.

Medical school huh....thats a long way to go lol. then again he's 20 now unlike my 23 :s.

Make sure worker units are being produced.

I play zerg sometimes and I just dont know when to stop producing drones, my drones is so many, its like around 100 counts, becoz I have 4-5 bases, and plus 4-5 queens, which left around 70-80 supply for my army only, I guess sometimes u have to stop producing your workers at mid-late to late game?
*
wa...can manage 4-5 bases with 4-5 queens, so pro sial.

100 drones excessive d. 80 is good enuf lol. Your main base should run out by the time u have a 5th.

just inject with queen only is easy ar, but sometimes build extractor and manage drone there plus defending it, I cannot la,  cry.gif oh, you are right, I should stop sending drones to suicide instead during late game. people play zerg apm 180 or above, my average 120 only  sweat.gif

Wa...just start 120 ad...I so noob sial T_T.

I love playing mid/late game so it's not unnatural for me to go 5/6 bases (with at least 3 macro hatches) by 16 or 18 minutes.  But what I do is I keep to 4 queens injecting non-stop on my main, natural, 3rd and my first macro hatch which I usually place near my main or natural.  I make more macro hatches to bring my queens to heal my tier 3 units.

Tier 3 units (and upgrades) are very gas heavy and to get there, every player needs to get to 5 bases (10 geysers churning out approximately 1200 gas per in-game minute) as quickly but as safely as possible.

I don't mind going over 100 drones because I tend to use them for spines in front of my bases (or spores behind my bases), most especially if I have more than 2000 minerals banked.

You just have to know when to stop pumping drones, when to resume pumping drones and start pumping units, when to transition, when to expand, and so on.

So pro.......I shall go QQ in the corner lol

You tend to hit 200APM in your games, Marksman!
*
You done it wrong. Its 002 APM.

Bleh honestly i feel out of shape. No practice at all.

I need to get back that 330 APM from the BW hotkey trainer again.... lol

The only practice I get is against Vision Cheater AI, just to keep my fingers nimble.  Fingers only.  And I manage 160 to 200 APM (around 40 to 50 EAPM).  Playing AI gets old though, because the AI doesn't adapt to what I'm doing.

But until I get Unifi, I don't think I'd get to play ladder to start learning stuff again.

Overlords placed strategically around the bases to spot for incoming Medivacs, 3 or 4 spines, 2 or 3 spores, spare lings and the queen standing by the hatch.  A few spores at the edges of your base would be nice.  It's quite an investment, but the benefits outweigh the wasted cost and time rebuilding what tech buildings you have could have lost if the drop happened.

If drops cannot happen, u max out and go deathpush. Terran gg liao lol.

my apm wasn't the result of spamming, I was actually doing real things all the time, if I have nothing to do, I'll just stop for that few seconds before continue mechanic, but just 140, I guess either my limit is there or I am not doing things fast enough in a correct way
anyway, I watched few videos from Apollo, Improve with Apollo, really nice insights there, he talks alot, i mean really ALOT about scouting, very useful tips, and there goes Day 9 youtube video channels too, but the strategy he talks about is very very deep, have to think for some time only understand what he says
*
Usually everyone says that they are doing real things all the time. The best way to confirm it though is record FPVOD and see for yourself. I know I am very efficient with APM because I confirmed it with the FPVOD.

It also confirms my issue with making workers lol and how to improve certain things such as hotkeys and so on. . To learn the techniques again need to see FPVOD.

No comment about the lessons ebcause they're good tongue.gif.

QUOTE(Ivan113 @ Aug 7 2013, 03:05 PM)
i thought EPM should be the standard for evaluating the efficiency? how do they calculate apm or epm?

it is like

APM
click worker = 1 action
move worker to that location = 1 action
click zergling = 1 action
morph into baneling = 1 action
select hive = 1 action
select larva = 1 action
morph into zergling = 1 action

total = 7 action

is it like that? and how to measure EPM?
*
APM is like that yes. What EPM does is actually filter out the repetitive commands that are executed within the list. Or they also filter out the commands such as selecting stuff. I don't know the full extent of their filter.

i think EPM should be more emphasized, APM isn't really accurate I guess, I could be jamming my keyboard like Jaedong, but if EPM is only 30, what's the use  biggrin.gif
*
At high level, APM plays a better gauge since EPM usually does not consider things such as checking process for production and upgrade. Only by a slight bit though.

Again, you have both, choose what you like as reference lol.
