Rupiah Weakens Beyond 11,000 a Dollar for First Time Since 2009

The yield on bonds due May 2023 climbed five basis points to 8.45 percent, according to prices from the Inter Dealer Market Association. The yield has risen 3.26 percentage points this year.

“Whatever you gained from Indonesian assets in the last two-and-a-half years would probably be wiped out by hedging against rupiah in the offshore market,” said Commonwealth Bank of Australia’s Ji.

No loss but above 0.3000 NAV (my target).

I think the fastest is Public Mutual. Within T+3 you can get the cash if you choose bank in method.

As of yesterday NAV, my AmDynamic ROI is 5.03% and IRR is 3.42% sweat.gif

Portfolio update:

Public Asia Ittikal Fund | 9.45 | 1.49
Aberdeen Islamic World Equity Fund - Class A | 7.15 | 11.55
AmDynamic Bond | 5.03 | 3.42
AmAP REITs | 2.86 | 2.67

Mind to share what's the asset allocation and strategy of Public Far East Select Fund and Public Asia Ittikal Fund? How they fit into your portfolio strategy?
*
QUOTE(gark @ Sep 3 2013, 08:34 PM)
looking at the XIRR.. and the ROI.. i believe those are legacy funds.. ie funds bought long long time ago.  laugh.gif

I also got some PM legacy fund.. how many unit i have left also don't know already.  tongue.gif
*
Those PM funds I bought it very early back in 2008/2009

I won't sell them until they reach my internal goal because I'm not rushing for cash.

Public Asia Ittikal Fund ---> NAV at 0.3000
Public Far East Select Fund ---> NAV at 0.2500 and 0.2750

They have sentimental values. laugh.gif

Both funds are Asia ex Japan fund. Public Far East Select Fund is Greater China focus fund. Public Asia Ittikal Fund is Shariah compliant Asia ex Japan fund.

Your UT investment got no implications on your personal taxation, except for the tax imputed on the distribution.

I think u meant PRS?
Almost all bond funds are suffering now. Bond yield rising (due to investors dumping bonds, thus bond prices do gown)

You still keep your AmDynamic Bond? Planning to top up or what?

Not doing anything to it. In fact, might wanna top up Ponzi Quantum today, as Thai and Indon markets at near 1-year low
*
But HQAF is more Greater China focus right?

For Thai & Indonesia, funds like OSK-UOB ASEAN, Public SEA Select Fund, CIMB APDIF has more exposure.

No

Hwang Quantum vs Hwang Asia Opp
- BOTH are overweight ASEAN plus HK, with near zero exposure to Korea, Taiwan, Shanghai, Australia etc
- Quantum is heavier on Malaysia + Thai + Indon (most likely as the small-mid cap opportunities are there), Asia Opp is heavier on HK + Singapore though MY+Thai+Indon exposure is also very significant
*
Didn't realize that I thought it has overweight on Greater China.

Maybe they change strategy recently. blush.gif
