Actually.. the gear thing is not really like a Super Saiyan crap.. first of all.. everytime a saiyan advance into another level, they got more and more bad ass looking face and hair.. but not for Luffy.. notice Luff's 3rd Gear ? He got kiut, lol, like a loli or something.. second.. the Gear Two is much more for speed and 3rd Gear is much more for power (he transformed to Gear Three to break the metal door). For Super Saiyan.. all the levels increase their power and speed.

I dunno about Gear Three, but for Gear Two, I think Luffy just copied the fast move thing by looking at Blueno's movement.. he said that he's lucky he met Blueno at the roof coz he got the chance to see the move and copy it.

the point is he suddenly goes way stronger. just like Goku, just like Ichigo. I dont want One Piece to be like them.

would be interesting to see Luffy copying Kamie. I mean, rubber body + paper-like body = WIN ?

someone mentioned something about mugiwara luffy gear 3?

his gomu gomu ability can extend his body from his normal state. until enies lobby, he tot of gomu gomu + pressure to form gear 2 and gear 3. not really explained in the manga but pressuring his body to the chibi-est form and letting the released energy out - he managed to take down the thick steel door.

As explained in the Manga, Luffy was defeated by Aokiji without even breaking a sweat. He (<-- luffy) did mentioned that he realised that there are still a lot of ppl stronger than him. As captain of his crew, it's his responsibility to take care of his crew and he can't be defeated in order to protect his nakama (crew). So he did some private training on his own. As for this whole anime, all of luffy's move are his own creation.

Gear 2 you can see steam coming out of his body,adding pressure to rubber increase in speed and flexibility ? hmmmm.....

Gear 3 you can see luffy become chibi already, maybe it's because he's rubber ? try take a big piece of rubber and compress it into a small piece .....
I guess we'll only see the true Gear 3 in this fight with Pigeon Guy .... hahahaha ..... so far the preview of Gear 3 is a chibi luffy and a broken massively thick door ......

He copied the CP9's Rankyaku as he realised kicking his feet 10-20 times before actually initiating the actual kick is THAT powerful.

Buster Call consist of 10 Marine Warships and 5 Vice Admiral. Aokiji was a vice admiral during the time when Robin's homeland was destroyed by the buster call. What's so horrifying abt the buster call, I'm not sure .... hahahaha .... since in the manga, Luffy or Zoro can cut a train into half ..... but if you says the power of having to fight 5 vice admirals combined, maybe. All I know is, Robin has sort of like a phobia because of the Buster Call cuz during her childhood, the Buster Call devastated her homeland.



After the CP9 story arc, wondering who's going to join Luffy's nakama, Frankie or Paulie, (the ROPE guy ??)

Oda still have a lot of stories haven't wrapped up like who's gonna replace crocodile as a shikibukai, then the part whr Shanks sailing out to meet White Beard ? Luffy meet up with Shanks, etc etc etc

One Piece gonna be hear forever ...... hahahahahaha .... I just hope Oda don't suddenly END the manga with a stupid ending like Hikaru No GO ..... haiz ....

Should be franky. If he join, cant imagine what type of stupid stuff will happen . Anyway gear 3 luffy become smaller?=.=. I only see gear 2 i think in the opening.
