Do you happen to know how to deal with CSV or NBU ( nokia backup file ) and convert to android XML file ?  icon_question.gif
*
XML is just a descriptor text file. It can be of any arbitrary format by individual developers, so there isn't a universal XML format, but the content is still in plain text.

CSV is the about the most universal format you can get, since everything is in plain text with fields separated by commas.

I recall there was some program that would perform the conversion of NBU to some kind of Kies readable format but it's probably no longer available. I can't remember what it's called.

At worst just keep your NBU handy and use NBUExplorer to find your old stuff. NBUexplorer is free and portable.

Post 12 has a link to an article which explains why you shouldn't store stuff on your device. Cloud is fine for non critical or non sensitive stuff imho so a backup habit is good.

in terms of junkwares i think nobody can top omega  tongue.gif

anyway using xnote but some apps aren't compatible with low dpi doh.gif

so far all apps are running good in cm10.2? i might just jump ship if they fix the screenshot issue.

so far nothing is running wrong with 4.3

i dont really do serious gaming here with only apps frequently used including
quadropus - excellent on 10.1, best on 10.2 (less lag in controls)
candy crush
bakery story
minions rush / or was it run
all gapps ok

browser and dsbs however causes the screen to flinch and blink, which i expertly deduce its a samsung driver issue

others are working nice and well (well your ss problem persists device wide)

if you can live without SS, i think its ok. S-Pen working ok with my papyrus app too

For all of you on 4.2.2 and above, I would like to ask, is there an option for Miracast under Wireless Networks?

Or under Settings>Display>Wireless Display?

KNS.....

http://www.androidpolice.com/2012/11/16/so...it-work-anyway/

The neat thing about Miracast is it doesn't require any special hardware to work. So unlike, say, a new wireless standarad (eg, 802.11n, 802.11ac), you won't need to upgrade to a new device in order to use it. In theory anyway. More specifically, Miracast is built on top of WiFi Direct, which allows devices to utilize WiFi to communicate with each other directly, instead of having to hop on a mutual wireless router. There's already a push to make more mobile devices support this standard, since it makes things like file transfers much easier, so Miracast support is already piggybacking on another train's momentum.

anyways joytest there's a new choice in wireless and networks : Manage mobile plan. when tapped: MY MAXIS has no known provisioning website

hmm.gif this is probably for those "Track my minutes and quota" settings, meant more for US users. Or perhaps you can be of greater use to the community by programming your own plan and posting it to the main servers so we can all use it, since you eat codes for breakfast, and, um, output ROMs ..... whistling.gif

Security Advisory for chicken lovers: *serious stuff, really*

Android App Contains Windows Worm
http://blogs.mcafee.com/mcafee-labs/androi...ns-windows-worm

Here is the curious case of an Android application on Google Play that contains some traces of malware, but poses no security danger for Android devices. This same application, however, is dangerous to other mobile and PC platforms.

Embedded inside this APK file, McAfee Labs found a Windows worm (Generic Malware.og!ats) that replicates itself via network shares. There is no auto-execution option for the malware on a Windows PC, but a user could run the malicious application by opening the APK (in Zip format) and running the program. This PC malware resides in each Android device that has installed the “KFC WOW@25 Menu” app.

Way too angular on the corners......however does this mean that there can be a difference in the back cover material?

And why does it look like there are 2 sim slots and 1 sd card slot? What's the covered slot in the middle for?

how big is the screen size? hopefully it can face off with the experia z ultra.

anyone selling note 2 to get note 3?  brows.gif
*
Yeah, looks like it's all in Chinese, and it does look like 2 contacts on the top side, and 3 contacts on the left side. I would speculate it's for NFC on the back cover, and perhaps wireless charging contacts, but why 3 contacts?

Most of the rumors over the last 4 weeks have focused on 5.7", which I feel is a disappointment, but nothing is confirmed so it could be 5.99", or 6.3" ???
