Erkk..when you flash perseus and use TA...the check at download mode...the system status already states custom..?

Atleast we know Samsung not that strict in this situation.
There are still hope for those who couldn't get official status on their phone to have their custom phone repaired.

Keep on using stock M'sia firmware with No and 0 count for another week and see if your phone still problem.
If nothing happen..then use it like usual. Just keep in mind to TA after flashing any custom rom or kernel.

And what do you mean flashing stuff using CF-root..?

Am having custom recovery CWM in my phone..plus using custom kernel but my counter still zero with official status

I do have modified status tho..at device status in the phone setting due to my custom kernel and CWM.

from my understanding. .no matter which way you root your phone..once you use custom CWM then the counter will increase to 1.
This is where we use TA to reset it back to zero.
- If you use stock kernel then the counter will be 1 as shown in the TA..BUT the actual counter at download mode is zero. Stock kernel not very compatible with TA.
This mean you need to use TA each time you use your CWM.

- If you use certain custom kernel (perseus..redpill) then you can achieve zero counter at the TA itself (if you use the paid TA app) and at the download mode as per my post #1851 and the image below.
And by using the paid TA..you can tick the auto reset on boot so you won't need to to TA after each flashing

Now the problem is getting the Official status. After reading at TA thread till I got headache..I found that Chainfire said that TA (paid app) will try to reset the counter AND the status. While the counter can be reset either by auto reset on boot or by each boot...the official status can only be achieved when using certain firmware only. Meaning it's a trial and error procedure.

As far as I know this quite problematic DMF2 firmware can bring the official status since I'm using this firmware right now...lolz

You mean after TA straight away flash stock firmware..right.?
You can go into download mode to check but NOT into recovery mode (since you still have custom CWM) before flashing hence the counter will increase again.

Regards the custom or official status..I think it depends on which stock firmware you flash. Maybe if you flash stock DMF2..you might get the official status.

You can reset back the counter to 0 even if you have CWM (I also have CWM).
At the TA it show 1 since you use stock kernel BUT check at download mode after TA..it will show 0 not 1. It got nothing to do with CWM.
Only problem is each time you use CWM..you need to TA as stock kernel not compatible with TA.

If you use custom kernel then the counter will show 0 at the TA and at download mode. Plus..you can use auto reset on boot so no need to TA after each flashing.

That's odd. It not supposed to increse.
May I know how you go into download mode..? By three buttons combo or by using any other way/app.

I think only when on certain firmware version..can get official status.

You dont have any old Nandroid backup in your phone..?
Maybe restore that old backup might solve your efs problem

Err..bro..last time your backup efs is in .tar or img file.?
If .img...I think can be restored via Philz recovery.

Hmm .hope the telcos can un-barred back the imei IF we found back our phone. Otherwise once report lost and they bar the imei...our phone will become expensive paperweight. .permanently

Maybe the person who need to bar their phone need to go to the telcos themselves for ID verification.

But it still can be abused. I can go to telcos..ID myself and I ask them to bar YOUR phone (if I know your phone imei la)
