So now do share some contrasts between Note 2 and XZU since you have it falling out of your pants already.

I would like to ask if you could perform a slightly extended test by trying to treat the XZU as a paper notebook for 1 day. I am interested how this turns out.

This would show if palm rejection is a non-issue if you keep your writing hand to the side of the screen, and allow the XZU to be used as a multi-page notepad during meetings. I use the Note 2 to scribble multi-page notes.

Not 100% sure. Depends if the XZU is good enough. If the XZU suffers a catastrophic price drop, it can be compelling. The competition for huge phones has gotten extremely interesting this year.

If it turns out to be 5.9", I think I won't hesitate to get the Note 3.

What is the location of your new workplace ?

My conservative calculation of powerbank capacity is max 0.7 of the listed capacity. It's from (3.7/5) x 0.8 efficiency.

For 1 full charge note 2 u need 5k to 5.6k mah. YMMV.

You mean power bank? High input will charge the bank faster, high output will charge your phone faster.

Buy from reputable sellers and buy genuine items please.

See, from what I understand, after reading about the powerbank thread I linked in post 4, you can get a variance.

Anyway, if you take the first case :

(3.7/5) x 80% = 59.2%

Second case :

(4.2/5) x 80% = 67.2%

The reason for 4.2 is coz at full capacity, the battery is at 4.2V.


If you take 67.2 x 11200mAH, you get 7526 REAL mAH, which translates to about 2.2 times charge. In reality, it's about there, maybe 2.5 times charge. You can verify this by taking a known GOOD power bank and charge. I have observed that this is correct.

Coz the 18650 batteries or even LiPo are rated for 3.7V, and go to 4.2V when full. It will drop as you use it down to 2.8V where the protection circuit stops the battery.

So you get a 7805 or similar power transistor which converts input from 1.5V to 12V into 5V, which is where you get the conversion loss.

5hr SOT is GOOD. You got to PLAY for 1.5 hours, and still have another 3.5hrs of active use (ie staring at the screen). No other phone (except those on Wifi only or Airplane Mode, or the large capacity phones) can give you this.

So after Full Speed (12 Mbps, USB 1.1), High Speed (480 Mbps, USB 2.0), SuperSpeed (5Gbps, USB 3.0), we’ve now got SuperSpeed 10Gpbs (SUPERSPEED+) with USB 3.1.
The standard is backwards compatible with USB 3.0 and USB 2.0, but apparently not USB 1.1. It will also allow for up to 100W to be sent through a USB cable.
