Last night while coming home, there is this Yamaha R1 stopping at traffic light, and the idle sound also like ER6 parallel twin idle, like not equal and want to die off, but when the throttle open up, it sound much more nicer. Wikipedia says it should sound like this
1-0-1-1-0-1-0-0-1-0-1-1-0-1-0-0-1-0-1-1-0-1-0-0-, then my ER should sound like this 1-0-1-0-0-0-0-0-1-0-1-0-0-0-0-0-1-0-1-0-0-0-0-0- , only missing 2 beat in between, and if i put 2 ER6 firing sequent together 1-0-1-0-0-0-0-0-1-0-1-0-0-0-0-0-1-0-1-0-0-0-0-0- 0-0-0-1-0-1-0-0-0-0-0-1-0-1-0-0-0-0-0-1-0-1-0-0- the sequent +up and sound like R1 1-0-1-1-0-1-0-0-1-0-1-1-0-1-0-0-1-0-1-1-0-1-0-0- So technically can I say R1 beats is just like 2 ER6 engine put together? |

Sad day today, went for a ride and when reach Gombak Tol, saw this shinny black GTR riding infront of me and follow him thru the Tol's motorlane. The rider is very stable and ride at safe speed, and I was thinking if he can ride a GTR thru those small motorlane so stable and easy, want to learn to ride like him and maybe 1 day can get a GTR. Afterward when I reach home got the news he had went down and pass away before the turn to Genting Highland from Karak.....

To the rider whose bike is Yamaha YZF-R6,
I know your bike is more powerful and infact, more faster than my old Perdana. However is it hard for you to even turn on your signal light before you butt in ?! I almost rammed into you yet you were the one to give me the cock eye stare. You are the reason many trolls wish to ram a rider over if they have the chance. |

All who's emotional during riding/driving should stop aside and let the temper die down before continuing the journey for their own and other's sake. Be it rider or driver, we all make mistake, but we all share the same road, so everybody should watch out for each other back. Everyone have a family to go back to....

Let's talk about maintenance, oiling the chain.... Anyone here use engine oil for the chain? My shop just use some used motorcycle oil to oil it. I used gear oil SAE90 last time but it attract too much dirt, then I use fresh engine oil 15W-30 but it fling all over the place especially the rear tyre. But the chain is cleaner. Haven't have a tyre slip on chain oil yet but is worried about it. Now I oil after every ride and the cleaning it up is a mess...I'll mixed some warm soapy water and use a keladi brush to brush the tyre and rim to get rid of the oil. And talking about washing bikes, my ER6 have some weld spot getting rusty (The head tube, the rear shock) Is it me too particular of bike quality is like this? Warranty just ended @ 10K...Guess 10K is just too much for a bike....

Go for a sanding and reweld if possible. |

Warranty just ended @ 10K...Guess 10K is just too much for a bike.... use a proper chain lube...no oil flings, and most importan of all, no oil drips on the tyre that will cause tyre slip for the rusty weld spot, i spray some wd-40 and rub the rust off it helps. but if the rust built up is bad, then u need to follow sifu royblue advice. I am scare enough to give the rage type way and avoid as far as possible. sometimes they are too preoccupied with traffic condition that they forgot to turn the signal, or is just doing an evasive maneuvre i know i sometimes dun turn on the signal due to many reasons, and i do hope the car drivers can be understanding. when i drive my car, i give my fullest respect even to the stupidest motorcyclist, as i am also constantly in their position whenever an accident happens, the m/cyclist will always suffer more than the car driver. so please be tolerant. we are bikers, we are also drivers. |
