being a PTD mean u'r importance man in the gov...in most of gov agency branches ...PTD gred 41 is the highest officer there...mean u'r director in that place...


starting salary maybe small, but chances to climb up management ladder is very high...limit of your career is being Chief Secretary to the Gov of Malaysia....very powerful post in the public service....

41 is not the highest grade in most office...41 is only ranked junior officer...like me but we welcomed you to the service

These days the ministries have been given the authority to hire contract 41 officers. These officers they dun even go thru SPA, just apply to the respective ministries. Normally they will be given 2 years contract. Cons include not entitled to govt loans, annual leave might be shorter than 30 days, won't be absorbed automatically into permanent service.

yup...sort of...

It's for contract officers only. If U took the exams means U applied thru SPA, & U still have the chance to become permanent officers la.

The rational is that for contract officers, usually they will give U max of 2 years contract initially, so unless U can pay a housing or car loan in 2 years.....
