aiyo he want smoothness and he tot ram=smooth, its true to an extent but ram is for multitasking. Our smoothness and the smoothness he expects is different you see.

iphone smoothness is the transition smoothness but when loading it takes time, while in our case our smoothness refers to how fast the responsiveness of the phone.

anyways all we know is that android offers a lot of flexibility and features at the cost of an occasional lag, i can live with it, 300ms not gonna kill me, but for others that slight occasional lag will lead them to their grave, heck is ur money u can always choose another os nobody stopping you.

we told you already the UI can be changed, that's what we called a launcher. Let's take this video for example, its using the TW launcher, to be honest the savvy users don't use TW if they can help it, every person i encounter i will suggest another launcher, go launcher, nova, apex etc. We have a choice and that's what is good about android.

Now the video is comparing stock vanilla and TW. TBH stock launcher is just empty, it's plain, it will suit only certain people but in maketing sense it will not sell well. I have a friend using N4 and he says N4 comes empty, there's nothing on it, no features like samseng. logically samseng has to add in those gimmick and features to sell to the normal consumers.

As cynox mentioned, i also don't buy a phone based purely on smoothness of the UI, u either buy a phone for its usefulness or to brag and i tell you bragging your ui is smooth is the lamest thing i ever encounter, u show ur phone and u just swipe swipe telling others how smooth it is, everyone will be like er....

again its ur money u choose wut u want, android is using java dalvik vm its impossible to be fully lagfree

comparing ram to spoiler and phone to car

ram is an important part that affects the overall performance of any device, u can have 30 cores but ram 2GB? the performance bottleneck is th 2GB ram, but if u increase the overall performance also increase, get it?

As a consumer of course having more is better, u can never have "enough" of technology, the moment you had enough, you're an old fart who doesn't keep up with the tech, waiting for retirement. The moment the whole world says its enough is the same time as the end of the world.

Anyways extra 1GB of ram if you know how to utilize it fully then u'll find out how good is having that extra 1GB. That being said in G Note 3, the overall user ram left is 2.4GB 600mb is reserved by the system

another philosophical thing i wanna point out is:

When ipong came out 3.5" they INSIST it is the perfect screen size, but 99% of their users are in denial and they know they want larger screens when samseng comes out with it and they were amazed by it. Hence that's what drives technological advancements, human desires.

Another would be the video recording, when 1080P was introduced, haters go around saying why u need so clear video recording for? but 1 year later 1080p became a staple video resolution and now we again received the same comments when 4kUHD was introduced.

So the same thing is with the RAM, haters now comment why you need so much RAM for? samseng sucks a lot ram? etc etc but next year other phone is gonna go 3GB too, so why the fuss?

Only those that embrace technological advancement will appreciate it. If you don't then you're no different from the kampung people that wants to maintain in their own comfort zone and never changing way of life. but do realize the world will keep advancing even if you don't and one day you'll find yourself out of touch.

why bash? simple, bcoz they jelly, inferior complex, need to comfort them self and lick their own wound to prove that their godlike iphone that they are so proud and have bragged all over with is still godlike. Since these days samsung comes up with the most wow features, they cannot take it.

As for ladies, what do you expect? its the same with cars, guys will like the cars with lots of features and can tinker with, while girls will want simple cars and don't rly mess with the cars (they throw all their junk in the car tho). Guy instead will wanna add this camera, wanna add phone docks wanna mod this, wanna add spoiler, wanna change rims etc. Few decades ago, it was also the same with Hi-Fi system, ask your father, they love modding the speakers

we only lose all those features related to samseng like the spen and air features when we flash to AOSP aka stock android, which is honestly PLAIN and EMPTY. Of course we would recommend you specific roms AOKP+PA which gives more functions but never the samseng features.
