QUOTE(un_id @ Sep 8 2013, 10:52 PM) Haha yaya.. But I have faith that a future firmware update will solve the stylus problem.. And I think XZU will keep on rocking for another year due to the unbeatable size and boldness, albeit very slim device that will caught anyone eyes.. Even bangla working at a food stall can't resist to ask me what device I am holding yesterday.. Sure or not? I use so long, no one ever ask me or look at it. |

QUOTE(gin&tonic @ Sep 9 2013, 11:32 AM) Read the XZU thread plenty of issues with SOD, fake hang, soft speaker etc. Even rooting is difficult. The SOD and fake hang issue is confirm bugs in .510 and can be prevent. It is a bugs, not the phone itself problem.Just hope Note 3 is as stable as Note 2. The rooting is piece of cake, just one click root. How difficult is that? Don't confuse with bootloader unlocked, it is not compulsory & unnecessary. QUOTE(solsekuin44 @ Sep 9 2013, 11:29 AM) Made a comparison with my friend who owns the Xperia ZU. Even after the update, the speaker is still soft All Sony waterproof / water resistance phone this year loudspeaker is not strong and loud, the sound is spread out.A big no-no for me.. Z Ultra is among the best already (no idea on Z1), you go hear Z, you will vomit later. |

QUOTE(benny888 @ Sep 9 2013, 11:48 AM) Problem is many typical non phone users just read the surface of the issue and immediately concluded is a big problem... And worse of all start to spread inaccurately their thoughts about the phone. It is quite misleading at times especially to another non user Ya, exactly.Rooting is just simply pressing a button and the program will process to root it automatically - where he got the idea is difficult ?? It is the simplest rooting method of all phones I have used by far The rooting method is the simplest I ever use as well, just one click and done, you not ever need to do anything after that. |

QUOTE(gogo2 @ Sep 9 2013, 11:52 AM) OIC. If won't get missed call, then its plenty loud already. I scared I go to shopping mall (very noisy), I can't When full volume it is enough loudness, just cannot compare with others phone loudness.hear my phone ringing (although vibration would probably notify me of incoming call). WeChat output is softer than others app, thus listening WeChat talk is troublesome where you need to put the speaker near the ear to listen clearly. Others than that, the XZU loudspeaker is ok, not the best but still acceptable. |

QUOTE(gogo2 @ Sep 9 2013, 11:56 AM) OIC.I never talk using WeChat before. I didn't know you need to use speakerphone to chat using WeChat. WeChat main feature is that walkie talkie like function. Some users are giving less than rating "5" for ZXU speaker in comparison to rating "10" in Note 2, which is means the XZU is quite bad Don't compare with Note II. Later you vomit. If Note II is 10 star, then XZU is 7 star for the loudspeaker. A good loudspeaker not only must loud but strong as well. QUOTE(owentan328 @ Sep 10 2013, 01:19 PM) judging by the current s4 touchwiz UI.. that said, if note 3 uses the same UI as the s4. then its the same thing. correct me if im wrong . thanks QUOTE(joytest @ Sep 10 2013, 01:24 PM) Since you give a specific example I will give you a specific answer. Exactly! That why I said start from S III, Galaxy series is experiment product from Samsung.S3 and note2 have the same tw version. There is some occasional lag on s3 but nothing major. Note 2 has no lag. S4 has reported lags but you're not going to die from it right? Note3 is expected to do away with those issues. S III lagging due to 1GB RAM is not enough for that time Touchwiz. Then Note II solve it by changing to 2GB. Now S4 lagging or not stable possible due to 2GB RAM no longer enough for current more features and heavy Touchwiz. And then Note 3 is given user 3GB RAM which high possible eliminates the issues. This post has been edited by Andrewtst: Sep 10 2013, 01:46 PM |

QUOTE(gogo2 @ Sep 10 2013, 01:48 PM) Nothing wrong on it, means Samsung not only sell hardware but software as well, Samsung give more features, off course need more RAM.QUOTE(gogo2 @ Sep 10 2013, 01:49 PM) sound logical. Anyway, default laptop RAM has been stagnanted at 4GB. I think 4GB will be magical number. This is great news in-fact.QUOTE(owentan328 @ Sep 10 2013, 01:51 PM) thats the point... You don't get the point here.finally someone understand english. the whole point of a new android phone is smoothness , if you cant get the smoothness right, then no matter how m many GB (3/4/8/16GB) of ram you put into a phone, the result will be the same (laggy). Samsung is well in optimization, Samsung give more features, in common sense, more features sure need more RAM to utilize it since those new useful features is run in background all time. You can't compare with others manufacture, as no any single manufacture as Samsung study on human needs and making the phone smarter and smarter from time to time. Thus to compensate with more features, extra RAM is necessary. |

QUOTE(owentan328 @ Sep 10 2013, 01:55 PM) whatever la.. im tired of going through all this again.. since your mind is just samsung hardware. You are wrong on this. I talk good when things good. then lets hope samsung take over the world I bash S4 previously also as it is not good, the lagginess is obvious there, same as my previous ex ex phone - S III, all due to Samsung use too little RAM to utilize it. Both S III and S4 is some sort like experiment already. But Samsung solved it when releasing Note II, now same Note III utilize 3GB RAM - I don't see any reason lagging, not smooth issue will occur on it. I am current Sony owner now. HTC phone is kind of same as Sony, they is just standard features from Android with custom skin, thus both HTC and Sony phone does not required as much RAM as Samsung need. As for iPhone wise, iPhone is the less features phone, if iPhone cannot run smooth, Apple can close shop already. This post has been edited by Andrewtst: Sep 10 2013, 02:03 PM |

QUOTE(Baronic @ Sep 10 2013, 01:53 PM) I cannot brain all your logics. More RAM actually affected the overall smoothness.Lets take S3 for example. 1GB ram. Is ALL the 1GB ram being occupied by Touch Wiz? a mere fraction of it. Increasing ram has nothing to do with the smoothness of touchwiz. Its the programming of the UI itself. The program must be optimised to the hardware, checked for memory leaks and etc. Likewise, 3GB ram one should not expect "omg super smooth UI for sure". It may or may not be smoother, but i'd bet my bottom dollar it has nothing to do with the amount of ram it has for any devices 1GB ram and above. more ram does not equals smooth UI. want smooth UI, either open its framework, find out whats wrong or tweak it yourself, or get a diff UI Launcher where the developer is actively tweaking it. (which is why custom roms tend to be smoother, it is tweaked, based on what the chef thinks would improve performance. do u get magically extra ram when u flash a custom rom?) Compared to other OSes, its easy for those OS to not lag when all you have are just rows of icons. Hard to go wrong. Its that simple. S III lagging main issue due to it not enough RAM, and keep closing background task to let the phone still work in proper, and badly it can even close the main thing - touchwiz launcher. When RAM is too little to handle everything, how you tweak also useless. Those custom ROM can run more proper as basically most is trim down the whole ROM thus less things run in background, this in-fact is not the real solution. If buy a phone, I want it fully utilize whatever given by the manufacturer, not a trim down edition. Thus, adding more RAM in-fact is the better way. As for iOS, that is different case, iOS is as dummy as it can for me, and nothing really real multi-tasking and no much background running task. So iOS no need high performance processor or a lot of RAM to utilize. This post has been edited by Andrewtst: Sep 10 2013, 02:13 PM |

QUOTE(antt00 @ Sep 10 2013, 02:14 PM) Adding ram is just one of the way. Frankly i would say TW is not fully optimize for smoothness and having 3gb on Note 3 will not guarantee better user experience. That being said, TW got lots of really useful function to make it up. Ya, Samsung having a lot more features, it is more difficult for them to fully optimize it than others manufacture. |
