not really. there's still Silicon Graphic that handle rendering very well.
"best" is something very subjective. I would only say Mac deos well in creative production feild. I did image editing (ie photshop), dtp (indesign, illustrator), web & multimedia (dreamweaver, flash & director) on DP 2.0 G5. Smooth like hot knife on butter

Some of my friend that does cinematography & pro photography also uses mac.

well, that still subjective to what screen/ monitor u use. I've seen some agency that hock up a Powermac with el-cheapo LCD screen that turn colour to yellowish. Its a waste.
