QUOTE(sathyendran @ Jul 31 2013, 04:26 PM) That will be better....2 cam is more than enough i guess for me... Ya, like we said before, the side cameras will assist in the parking beside low curbs. No need to tune down the side mirror ma. Like what Alphard or Estima has, all the 4 views will appear on HU once driver engage in 1st gear and reverse gear. QUOTE(jeschong @ Jul 31 2013, 04:37 PM) some of my friends here install the cam at the front car plate. in the cabin, they clip a screen (like gps size) with power sucker. according to them, if connect to HU, can only look at the screen without seeing anything from the windscreen, they feel insecure. thus they feel comfortable when look at the screen while still can see the view from windscreen now. if im not wrong, the cost is about rm150 (all in) and no need to cut wire but tap I believe everyone, including me, will look at the rear view image from the camera instead of side mirrors + rear view mirror when we first get our car. Our eyes will be locked to the rear view image. After a while, we get used to the positioning. The same applies here. I would like to have the extra front image appear in my HU. Do you have contact for this installation? It will good to see if I can install this at the price you mentioned, without cutting wires, and image to appear on HU. Can this camera sees the far end (left right) of the front bumper? This post has been edited by lingleeyen: Jul 31 2013, 04:55 PM

QUOTE(Maxccy @ Jul 31 2013, 05:42 PM) Aj motorsport selling ARB rm370 front strut and back rm175. So was wondering is it necessary. Hahaa a bit noob. No front ARB for Forte bro. Only front tower bar/ front strut bar. Back ARB is not that cheap.

QUOTE(zerohunter @ Jul 31 2013, 06:01 PM) I heard ipoh many leng lui , is that true? Not really true. The girls there however have very fair smooth skin. Beautiful wise, I would say penang. Ipoh however has definitive very good half boiled eggs and tauge. Nothing in KL or other state that I have been had those so good. I can drive to Ipoh just for the 2. QUOTE(Maxccy @ Jul 31 2013, 06:15 PM) No shop but he do online business. Try search fb AJ Motorsport. He is forte owner as well. He quote me ARB rm370 without installation and strut bar front and back rm175 he can install. The k5 fender he selling sticker rm50. Oh. If it is genuine UR bar then the price is cheap. I installed rear ARB for 480, front tower bar for 220. Bundled up is 650 in total. Make sure that they use torque wrench. You will not want one nut tightened tighter than the other. Load distributed will not be even on all the nut points hence wearing that one or 2 particular point. This post has been edited by lingleeyen: Jul 31 2013, 06:19 PM

QUOTE(jeschong @ Jul 31 2013, 06:21 PM) i saw he post UTR bar photo instead of UR So that gives him a point to consider. The price is much better than UR bars. The price for front lower and rear lower bar that I get is 280 and 190 respectively.

QUOTE(Maxccy @ Jul 31 2013, 06:24 PM) Alright thx for the tips. Still wondering should I do it. He do sell a lot forte equipment. Not sure yet is it good bt fb ppl seems to trust them. For now, try one by one. Put front tower bar first. Drive around for 2 weeks or so. Then only add ARB. The effect is there. However, if you are expecting the car to stick to the ground like F1 cars, cannot la. After I have installed the tower bar and rear ARB, I now can take a specific roundabout at 40-45 km/h, having the same body roll feel at 30km/h before installation.

QUOTE(ohde @ Jul 31 2013, 08:18 PM) Which one can significant reduce body roll ? i feel that Forte handling and cornering not so good i only have front struct bar installed, the effect not much, hardly feel it. Try rear ARB. Then slowly add depending on what you feel is lack.

QUOTE(sathyendran @ Jul 31 2013, 09:39 PM) Are you in Ipoh now? If you are then u can check.... I have called and asked. No need to cut wire. The camera output goes direct to the 4.3" screen. Price wise, normal camera is 110, infra red is 135. Screen is less than 160. Camera angle cannot go to the left right of bumper. Connecting direct to existing HU unsure because he never opened up the HU before. This sounded like a camera with a toggle switch. It is not linked to gear engaged. So you will need to manual turn on the camera. This post has been edited by lingleeyen: Jul 31 2013, 11:12 PM

QUOTE(ohde @ Jul 31 2013, 09:42 PM) do u feel more stiff for the rear suspension after added ARB? I don't want sacrifice comfort too much because need to fetch ppl always. I do not feel rear suspension become stiffer. I would want it to be stiffer than it already is now. I just feel that the rear is lack of independence during bump crossing. Other than that I have no complain. This post has been edited by lingleeyen: Jul 31 2013, 11:09 PM

QUOTE(kanina @ Jul 31 2013, 11:01 PM) hi guys, quick question. I have an android phone with spotify installed. How do I connect my phone to the car and listen to music from it? Can I just plug into the USB port with a cable? Or do I have to get something like a USB to AUX converter cable? What I understand is USB only reads the USB and charge your phone. Cannot read data from your phone. I also understand that there is a cable provided, to link ipod to the aux, which I have not use before.

QUOTE(izputra @ Aug 1 2013, 08:51 AM) Yupp..absolute these are under my main consideration when choosing a parking slot. & i always went early to office & shopping mall just to get a good parking slot, preferable a single parking slot (no other car can park on both sides). Haha. These single parking slots are hard to get. Alot of people thinks like us and they sleep lesser. Normally these will be occupied.

QUOTE(ohde @ Aug 1 2013, 12:43 PM) Is it the rear suspension being "lock" by the ARB so it become single piece of bar that goes up and down in parallel? is it good or bad actually? is it become slightly comfort or less comfort ? Your understanding is correct. Adding ARB is actually linking a none movable part to both suspension and theoritically making it into one. However, under usage, the ARB does flex (what material does not?). After installing, the whole rear does go up and down parallely. I do feel that the stability increases in high speed highway drive. Cornering is much better as how I describe on the roundabouts. On potholes, I cannot really note any difference.

QUOTE(sathyendran @ Aug 1 2013, 01:29 PM) Haiizzz.... I would prefer it to be linked to HU or rear mirror, adding another screen makes it a bit cramped up. I dont mind the manual toggle switch though.... He has not install before. This does not mean that it is not possible. I gave up when he says that the camera cannot catch the left and right side of bumper like alphard.

QUOTE(jeschong @ Aug 1 2013, 03:46 PM) what about drive straight on uneven road? Forte's rear suspension is not as accomodative as multi link to start with. I cannot really differentiate if the ARB has made the car's suspension more stiff. On wavy roads, the car did bounce lesser.
