I thought the same also but just a few days ago, I MNPed to New Best v1. Right after the MNP, balance 1 sen and before I reloaded, I checked *128*1*7# and SLL was listed there.

Yeah, IDDIC is free, no RM10 charge. At least since Jan 1 2016.

Yes, I specifically wanted to see if the SLL option is displayed when balance is below RM43. For my 1st MNP to Digi New Best v1, I had already reloaded RM50 when I read about it so I couldn't check. So for my 2nd MNP, that's the first thing I checked.

Assuming you are talking about IDDIC, it's supposed to be forever but mine shows an expiry year of 2026. Have not tried VOIP with it though it should be possible. I remember making calls on my PC back in the ISDN days.

I can't comment much even though I have 2 SIMs on Digi's IDDIC & SLL. One is used by my daughter, Whatsapp, Spotify, email all works fine on her phone. The other one is for my router. Just planning to send email or status updates with that one.

Where/how you do your MNP? Afaik only got 3 options for MNP: best v1 & v2 and smart prepaid.

Isn't Easy Prepaid a really old plan?

I think should be no problem. Have you tried to change plans using the USSD? If not, maybe can do over phone or go DiGi Centre.

Btw, can you share why you'd want to switch to v2?

Why don't you just subscribe to IDDIC (free)? Quota 1GB/mth. Best v2 basic internet is only 500mb/mth.

Yes, IDDIC is 64kbps.

I was just wondering why. Let me rephrase my question. While ignoring SLL (which is not necessary for one who reloads RM30 every monthly) and ignoring basic internet which both new best v1 & v2 have, what is it about v2 that makes you want to switch plans to v2?

After porting in, do *128*1*7# and you should see SLL listed. Hopefully it's still there. Can you try that before you reload when your balance is still RM0.01?

You're correct, v1 doesn't have basic internet while v2 does. v1 with IDDIC has basic internet with quota of 1GB/mth. But I'm not sure what happens when the 1GB quota runs out, does data stop working or does it revert to PAYU RM3 Max a day.

Do you know what happens with v2 if you run of hi-speed quota and then you run of basic internet 500mb/mth quota, does it revert to no data service or PAYU?

Thanks, just want to confirm if *128*1*7# shows the SLL option when credit is below RM43. I read SLL only shows when credit is RM43 or more but last week after I MNP and my balance 0.01, the SLL option is there.

Be patient, my MNP from Umobile to Digi took 20 hrs. Hopefully you'll get the MNP Success SMS later tonight or tomorrow morning.

UMobile deactivated is a good sign. I'm sure your Digi SIM will get activated by morning.

See, told you to be patient, sure no problem one. Same for me, I didn't receive any SMS from UMobile asking me to confirm the port-out. For Hotlink MNP to Digi, I did receive such an SMS.

WeChat wow! The wechat to wechat call is really good. Tested just now. Very impressive. From iPhone 6S on 4G data call to iPhone 4 on 3G 64kbps IDDIC.

Confirmed that Whatsapp voip no go. Now going to try Line and Kakaotalk.
