I'm already on stock 4.3 rom, just boot into twrp recovery, wipe data, cache (dalvik cache if you want), then flash CM 10.2 and 4.3 gapps (flash JSS compatible kernel if you want too)... Didn't flash any radio as I'm coming from official stock 4.3 JWR66V factory image so it's already having the latest .84 radio and E028 touch driver.

Hi guys, I want to ask you all some question..how to set our nexus 4 preferred network from wcdma preferred to gsm auto(prl) permanently??
i try set it via *#*#4636#*#* but each time reboot, it will reset back to wcdma preferred.
I am on stock 4.3 unlocked, not rooted

I can see there's quite a number to choose from. Which is the best ?

WCDMA preferred - The GSM phone is capable of using both 2G and 3G data communication and when signal strength is low 3G is favored more.

GSM auto (PRL) - The GSM phone is capable of using both 2G and 3G data communication and when signal strength is low 2G is favored more. This one is a bit confusing to me since PRL is associated mostly with CDMA technology and not GSM technology.

Since the place i go does have consistent 3g signal (using u mobile) so i would like to use GSM auto(PRL) to prevent it keep searching for 3g when the signal is low

The setting in 4636 won't stick after reboot. Custom ROM makes them stick though. Use custom rom?

custom rom will?? last time i use cm 10.1 rc, it does not stick for me...

Wow What is your settings and config?

- Stock JWR ROM with Krait optimizations.
- AOSP kernel (jb-mr2-release) with undervolting -175 and some -150 and overclock to 1.8ghz.

All self-compiled directly from Google source and Code Aurora using Linaro toolchain.

does cm10.2 support lte too?

it's a very good phone with a very cheap price to start with. just compare to other flagships, it's almost half the price of them, it's price won't drop by much, even if u give it another 6 months, most probably will drop until RM800 at most, since it's a nexus device, like most nexus device from the past, the price will probably remain the same until the next new Nexus phone or will actually REBOUND and goes up, like what the Galaxy Nexus did after they stop production to prepare for the N4 (i know because I got the last batch of G. Nex and made a killing on the market)

How is your battery life currently?

for some reason unknown to me...my n4 indicates there's no sim card in it...

after calling umobile three times wif no answer...i tried taking the sim cards and using it at my ipad wif success...then tried putting it back....and restarting the device...the signal is back wif H (previously it was 3G)

Try rebooting it and if the problem still persist , back up and reflash boot-img again

Have not been able to use my Nexus 4 till fully discharge lately. It's connected to my notebook from time to time testing new voltage and stuff. But since I have the max freq set to 1.7ghz, and using the same VDD as before 4.3 (-175 from 4.2 stock), I am expecting similar battery life or better (because 4.3 has less wakelock).

I only tested pushing to 1.8ghz today since I am using the VDD from Snapdragon 600 SOC.

I am expecting similar performance since both SOC are almost identical except for larger memory bandwidth in S600. As of now, 1.8ghz seem stable but need to test further. Next step is to reduce the voltage and test it again. Need to continue doing so until I get the min voltage that can get it stable before I push to 1.9ghz.

Try to get new micro sim from umobile.
