Collected my black XZU from Sony IOI Mall just now thanks to a forumer here!

Time to transfer all my Android apps to this baby.

My personal take on the phone tested at midvalley.

1. Fonts were damn small. Even after I changed to the largest setting it is still about the default size in mega.
2. The system was running very smoothly with no problems.
3. The sales girl was really not up todate with the product capability. Eg Iasked her to show me in what application can I use pencils....she opened the sms and started to write the alphabets....duhhh. I was expecting some pre installed app or something...
4. The sharp edges and rectangular shape....I think that was why some of you had problems pocketing it. If the egdes were cornered...maybe it will slip easily.
5. There was a promotion where u buy XZU they give free t shirt 8GB mem card and flipcase..

But the screen was really ohsemmm albeit the small fonts.

Tested to pocket my ZU in my jeans today to work as its casual friday.. seems a bit uncomfortable, especially during walking.. dont even mention about sitting

oh well, looks like my Z will still be my main phone. But soooo cant resist its beautiful large screen and snappy processor.. after using ZU, even 5 inchers now feel 'tiny' wei! lol

Can anyone confirm if ZU have builtin Infra Red..?

Maybe depends on Jeans brand / type imo. The ZU fits mine, but very ngam2 but still hamper movement a bit. Not to an extent of walking like a robot, but a sensation that something is slowing down your normal pace.

Anyways, my cargo pants and work pants had better luck transporting the ZU    Just not gonna see myself lugging around the ZU when im in jeans mode. lol.

Actually, why don't Sony use back the same sensor that they manufacture for the iPhone (unless iPhone already using other manufacturer now). Those are really superior. I took photos of certain places with my iPhone 5 and compare the same taken with XZU - worlds of difference.
Will try this later. Using Proximity Actions and due to the sensor always active, the phone keeps turning on in my pocket - draining battery. This app you mentioned uses accelerometer I understand, but I'll check and see if there is constant waking since I keep my XZU in my pants pocket.
Agreed. My iPhone 5 in such lighting would turn the photo into a pretty good one actually.
Not really. Since promotion for the gifts supposed to be for 1st August 2013 onwards, they have the right not to give. But of course, technically Sony Centres cannot sell before 1st August, so cannot blame the customer.
