Looking for a cheap stereo mic to record audio in a slight area, am looking at the Audio Technica Pro 24 (cheap on Amazon, rip off here), Shengu SG-108 and the Takstar SGC-598. Anyone got experience on any of these and where I can get them (price too)?

if your Budget around RM180 , just get a Dynamic Mic or Condenser Mic Audio Technica ATR1300

to be honest, Stereo is output not input..
input we called double mono which is the recording L & R

in the proccessing output that's wht we called Stereo.
thus every mic is MONO...

but due to DSLR need to be recorded Double Mono
and there's some mic have 2 Line which is Double Mono.

and im sorry , i just realize you asking in DSLR/Camera/Video section which the ATR1300 dont suit your needs..

the cheapest u can get for DSLR recording Double Mono using Tie Clip Mic By Audio Technica ATR3350..(RM150)

or you may choose
Audio Technica AT9941 (RM400)

regards,

The money makes my eyes hurt. Yeah, I am saving for a DSLR but right now I got is my lousy Kodak Zi7 and I want some decent audio since half of my videos involve a lot of audio.

Hence, why I am asking if anyone tried those brands/models above.

erm your Video for Interview? i mean the Subject you want to shoot wont keep on moving or they will move around?

if the will stay put just use Tie Clip Mic that i have advise you.. quality superb...

and if you want to shoot something moving you need shotgun mic that i advise at above...

and to behonest that the decent price already
if you want to get something more cheaper like china made mic.. they have defect

1) wont last long
2) quality of recording sucks... will have alot of noise..

=) pm me if you really interested on this...
oh ya im audio technica appointed sole distributor for ATR-Series in Malaysia
