So the better choice is Mace with high dmg, yes?
*
typically, if same DPS, chose faster attack speed:

dagger (1.5) > sword / fist weapon (1.4) > mace (1.3) > 2 handed weapon

^^2.69 aps is not fast enough, my (LsOs Echoing Fury + LsOs WKL) monk is swinging its weapons at 2.58 (MH) and 2.94 (OH) however I'm still aspiring to attain 2.71 (MH) and 3.09 (OH) with the replacement of the crafted bracer to a Lacuni Prowlers, eventually.

Vital Stats of my monk for your reference by the courtesy of d3up.

Exactly, you said it right with far fewer words as compared to my long version of the explanation.

more speed, more survivability icon_rolleyes.gif

keep the IAS at that number and keep pushing DPS and EHP. To me, 2.5 is good enough provided you have decent EHP

sometimes longer is better biggrin.gif

on another development... wall of text on pre-patch expansion / RoS:

http://www.diablofans.com/news/2216-story-...weekly-roundup/

- no more NV (as of now)
- changes in damage mechanics

also, there is supposed to be some discussion on Monk about changing the ratio of Spirt Gained per skill vs Spirit Spent per skill. but it's not there... hopefully some good soul that attended the booth can share it later.

looking at the datamine, spirit gen has huge boost (except WoHF reduced from 8 to 7... duno why?)... but some skill such as Dashing Strike also has increased in spirit (25->50)... most other skill such as BoH and Blinding Flash no longer need spirit at all!

cannot make sense out of it at the moment...

How about the fist of Az'Turrasq? The stun chance seems good especially with higher aspd.

Fist of Az'Turrasq can be used to train an apprentice monk.

Nothing can beat the combo of LsOs EF + LsOs WKL combo in my honest opinion and for your information, I've an (ias + LsOs) 1.28k dps rare sword that is hardly used at all.

fast attack speed pairing together with life steal? cool. I guess if using thunderclap rune skills, WKL benefits it alot?

wow how much you're selling your sword? If only i knew earlier cry.gif

Fist of Thunder -Thunderclap or Quickening (the spirit engine generator to spam high spirit cost skill such as Wave of Light -Pillar of the Ancients and etc) and Sweeping Winds -Cyclone are spectacular with WKL.

I'll equipped my monk with the rare sword whenever in a coop party so it's still pretty much a necessity.

im not WKL user here ,bcos deal dmg too low in high mp lvl, I think mostly plyer like WKL bcos of lightning% dmg only ..

fist of az'turrasq weapon normally go crown control user, suitable in HC mode ,in normal mode need more critical dmg and fast speed ,if u had 2.8%aps or above more better ....
