any petrol saving tips for 04 lmst manual?
my car can hardly drive 250km for rm50 before the 20 cents rise. i've been told to tune my car but anyone know where can i do so around Ampang? And how much does it cost? anyone used any fuel additive? and is it useful? besides, how much is it to change my spring to stock or oem? (mine was lowered before) I m facing some quite annoy problem since i start driving this car Since this car is lowered, when i driving it at night, almost all other car's headlight opposite me feels like a spotlight to me and this problem get worst when i drive in a dark place. Other than changing the spring, is there any other option to improve this condition? This post has been edited by northernhero: Sep 13 2013, 11:03 PM |

hi sifu sifu here, i wanna ask a few questions,
first of all, my car is 2004 lmst, yesterday my car temperature gone crazy, 6 bar full and i immediately stop for rest, after the mechanic take out the thermostat, i tot the problem is solved, however it still there, so my mechanic concluded that the temperature gauge/ sensor is faulty, does anyone here know how much to fix that ?and is it ok for my car without thermostat? besides, my car also keep vibrating while idle, and i ask the mechanic he said the engine mounting is not good condition and ask me to change for RM300 plus, is it worth it? (just now another mechanic also try to adjust the throttle for me,haven't try it yet though) |

QUOTE(flex3x @ Apr 10 2014, 05:42 PM) haha below 1000 mostly, and after the mechanic helped me adjust the throttle the problem seems to be reduced and idling RPM is near 1000 side note, went to workshop 4 times because the radiator temperature gone crazy, first time the mechanic checked fans and everything seems to be alright, water is still full,he help me take out thermostat and change a new radiator cap, cost me RM48. Second time went to nearby workshop because the problem still there, he checked everything and tell me the water is not boil so high chance the temperature gauge is faulty and suggest me to go to wiring shop, cost me RM0 this time though. The 3rd time i went to wiring shop, the person didn't really check anything and say nid to bypass wire to temperature gauge or donu what, cost me RM85. After few hours the problem is still there, and this time the water in the spare tank is gone and i could see smoke coming out. Went back to the shop, found out the fans is faulty, kejap jalan kejap tak jalan, change an used fan, cost me RM95 T.T. I sincerely hope this time the problem is really fixed, or else I'm going to cry T.T P.S: saja complaint my situation lol |

QUOTE(Albert B @ Apr 11 2014, 12:47 PM) Is there still overheating, or the problem is finally cured? The RM85 did not replace anything at all, I think they only re route the wire, the lady boss guarranttee that's the problem.Did the 3rd mechanic change the temperature sensor also for the RM85, or just wiring only? The troubleshooting of the problem is confusing, the fan was ok earlier, no boiling, but later the fan was changed, some water was lost. The old fan was sort of on-off kejap jalan kejap tak jalan, but from my observations, in a normally functioning cooling system the fan is also on and off to keep the temperature within optimum limits. If there is a problem the fan will run continuously struggling to lower the temperature. I also abit heart pain to realise the RM85 wasted like that, after all that then the person help me check the fans, I don't know how he do it but I suppose when he connect some sort of wire the fan should be running even though my car is nt hot. However the fan is not moving, and he go knock knock the fan and it goes moving again. So he conclude the fan is faulty. The overheating problem is gone I think, but still need to observe a few days, I drove around 60km today and have no problem yet, hopefully it's really solved, cause all the money I spent I could get an ori fan(RM185) edi >< |

My car is experiencing quite serious glare at night. I wonder is it because of my tint that is quite old, i would say roughly 4-5 years old. Anyone facing the same problem? How much is it to remove the tint?
Thank you |

Hi, there's an annoying problem for my lmst 04 manual,
My car rpm in the morning after warm up idle at 1.5k rpm without turning on aircond, while aircond is turned on then it is idle at around 1k rpm Before this my car adjusted the throttle (or gas injection or anything like that) by the work shop guy because my car vibrate constantly while waiting for traffic light (air cond on, rpm 600-700). Any suggestion regarding this? |

I have only adjusted the aircond off idle screw, is thats alright ? |

Dear sifus,
Just went and replace my honk, the mechanic honk it and it sound normal when my key is not in the ignition, and then I paid the mechanic n forgot to get receipt, and when I got home and try the honk it's not working again, with my key in the ignition, I haven't tried to honk it without key though. I've done some survey and some say that it's the bad grounding wire or something, anyone know that is this gonna cost me anything? I'm going back to the shop tmr n hopefully they wont refuse to fix it since I don't have a receipt. |
