I was going thru the internet and i noticed alot of ppl is discussing about the best cpu cooler and etcetera but no one is talking about the stock cooler sad.gif well since i'm broke now and i'm just looking for a fan to replace my noisy original HSF fan since it's more than 1 yr already. SO here i created a thread to discuss and recommend me a good and quiet 60mm fan for cooling my processor laugh.gif and wherer to get it ?

fan requirement
dimension = 60mm (stock amd64 s754 fan size)
maximum dba = 45dba
speed and thermal sensor

i'm not sure what are the expcted cfm from a 60mm fan so if you guys got any knowledge on this please help me. rclxms.gif

a64 s754? those are 70mm la dude...not 60mm.

how i know is that i bought a 60-80mm converter once and i couldnt use it coz the fan is bigger than 60mm. took a ruler and measured it at 70mm.

and tough luck...70mms arent easy to find tongue.gif

best u can do is try running the fan at 7v to run it slower so less noise... although im not sure how itll affect the temps...

lapping the heatsink might also give u better results

you mean mount a 80mm fan on the hs itself or used the casing fan on the casing to cool it ? the latter method i scared not powerful enuf the air flow is not focus already la. and the first method dunno how to mount it on top of the hs.

saw ppl selling vantec 70mm fan for rm25 but he's from jb. dunno wanna get it or not. still thinking now. but the noise is getting pretty obvious d le. i'm afraid is the hsf design that create the noise not the fan only. so even is i change the fan the noise might still be there. mayb will get a ninja from elhh. but abit out of my budget le.
