Ler...melaka to KL not that far also, should have send it yourself. I last time from ipoh drop by KL just to send my lens for service laugh.gif

The only way to get the service number i guess is by getting in touch by the 3rd party who send your lens for service sweat.gif
*
yeah..not that far actually...but need to off work 2 days for send n pick up...
waiting the shop to reply me...they say will help me get from the 3rd party...

eh eh eh you can't really say lightroom is also photoshop, but you can say photoshop is also lightroom.

lightroom is more like a simplified version of photoshop or adobe camera raw (not really sure), but photoshop contains a lot more functions than lightroom.
*
this is what i summary in between lightroom, photo elements and photoshop

lightroom - photo organizer with light editing
photoshop - powerfull and purely photo editing

photo elements - in between lightroom and photoshop.

ver1 = without focus motor
ver2 = with focus motor
of cos with others enhancement that tokina claim is better la for ver2.

since u getting d7k or d7.1k, ver1 will do since the body has focus motor already if u on tight budget...

for me the D600 dust issue is nothing...just blow then kao tim..(after 3k+ shutter, dust no appear anymore but oil still continue to come)
the troublesome one is the oil mark that need wet cleaning...

hi silrave,
D5100 body (new /2nd hand) + nikon 18-105mm (2nd hand) is a good combo to go. This is also the recommendation i give to my friend who new n just want to try dslr.

you may read somewhere that the 18-105mm is not that good or bla bla bla, but it actually a good "all in one" lens to bring when u are still dont know what you will interest later in photography (macro, potrait, sport, bird, landscape ...etc)

For personal preference, D7000 2nd hand is a good body to grab. with it built in focus motor in body give u option to use the D lens that is far cheaper compare to G lens. Btw, although the D lens has aperture ring on it, you no need to manually adjust them to get the aperture you want. The camera body still able to control it.

just my 2 cents...

oh ok
i think i get the camera first then i only ask more detail from u guys XD
so far i know what i wanna get cause my budget XD
just dunno if buy a new D5100 come with 18-55mm kit lens if upgrade to 18-1xxmm kit lens how much does it cost?  the more mm means u can focus more far is it
*
get the body only...the 18-105mm just grab those 2nd hand will do...
this will save u a lot...later u will look for upgrade and the 18-105mm will sit there do nothing...
