Well.... It depends on the shot really, some are better with a black background, some not so much.


Yes, working with attachments reduces light, with a teleconverter I can see F/64 on my cam if I stop all the way down, go figure if extension tubes are thrown in 

I use a monopod occasionally. Much much better than tripods unless it's a stationary subject like a spider within it's nest.

Bro, with your lenses you can take good "macro" shots also ah.. use your 28-300 at nearest minimum focus range and then zoom in, then if its not enough, crop the photo since you have so many MP

well...it should be less than the price of 18-200 but more than 18-105

Before the introduction of 18-105 kit there were 18-135 but no VR though, during the D80 days. Not sure how many of you know/remember . If this new 18-140 turns out to be new kit lens then its great. Hopefully the VR is better then current 18-105 but i suspect probably the same more or less.
