anyway i found a shop selling at 849 including 3 yrs warranty, i think this is pretty good deal if the 2nd and 3rd yr warranty coverage is as good as 1st yr. i guess 1st yr by Lenovo, the rest by the shop.

btw, yest got touched the phone and i feel the vibration feedback is kinda week. i am using nexus and the vibration feedback is good. weak vibration makes me think like i am using galaxy Ace.

Many thanks Joe, so would you and the other international handset users confirm that using the original rom and rooting is the best way ? Do you by any chance customise the original rom to exclude files you dont need ?

I would be keen to try out the international handset like is, if i feel the need to add a custom rom i can just backup my original.

I'm reading this thread for quite sometime, and am planning to upgrade my current ThL W3+ which been used for nearly a year now. This Lenovo P780 seems a good replacement candidate even though the camera outcome was not that good compared to my ThL W3+. Planning to handover my ThL phone to my wife later. 

Also I wish to express my satisfaction with Mobile phones made from China based on Mediatek (Taiwan). I do not have any problem with the hardware even though some glitches with software which is common. I even recommended few family members and friend into purchasing these type of phones directly online. And they all are satisfied. 

I also which to recommend a battery saver app that I've been using for quite sometime (purchased version) that is DU Battery Saver Pro. It has a lot of extra features which I highly recommend. Also I'm not a hardcore mobile user. I don't play games or watch videos on the phone even though sometimes did watched youtubes or vids sent to me through Whatsapp.

Overall I am satisfied.

P/S: my best uptime and battery was 2 days++

Yes, 8gb version is coming soon. As far as differences, 8gb version will make up with low ROM amount in 4gb version, 2.5gb vs 650mb and will be selling at roughly the same price as 4gb.

it there any apps that can wake up the screen without using power button ? if we keep using power button.. it will very soon gged.i had found an app called Tap tap but cant wake  the screen up . any tips ?

Between P780 & Huawei G700 Which one do you prefer? Aside from the bigger battery capacity on P780 & bigger the RAM amount on  Huawei G700, other specs seem to be similar on both phone.

The phone restarted once today when I want to reply a text message while a MMS is downloading on sim 2. Didn't have that happen for quite some time already. Not a huge problem to me, just reporting. :-)

Ps: the screen has great viewing angles, but not the LED notification light, if you know what I mean. :-P

My daughter install, uninstall, play games and sometimes suka2 change my p780 setting every night but what I observed tho the cleaner icon turns sparkling red, it stays at 92%. Sometimes game shutters a bit but after awhile back normal. No clean cache was done during that. Games played not so demanding. Only kiddy games and edutainment tho..
I think I am lucky or maybe this phone is really worth every penny. What say u guys..?

What I mean is due to the location of the led which is under the grill, you can't  see it from other angles, only from in front of the phone. :-D
