Am using time and I get distortions every 2-3 hours for 10 mins on all channels. Distortion as in those that you get when there's a thunderstorm but it's not that bad...I don't know how to remedy it. :S

Call the Time Astro IPTV support... may be a problem with the IPTV channel in the fiber optic cable.

There are two channels in the cable - one for your Internet connection, and another for the Astro IPTV stream.

Anyone connecting 2 tv with one astro decoder here? If got What method you guys use?

I connect the HDMI out from my Byond PVR to a generic Monoprice HDMI splitter, which is then output simultaneously to my living room TV and my Asus WiCast transmitter.

My Asus WiCast receiver is connected to my bedroom TV via HDMI.

I also have a cheap China-brand IR blaster connected to my Byond PVR, so that I can control it from the bedroom.

how much does that cost you ?
*
I don't remember the exact amount as this was done two years ago. If I remember correctly, the HDMI splitter cost me around RM80++ while the WiCast was around RM900. The IR blaster was purchased via Lelong, around RM30++ I think.

anyone experienced random reboot on Byond decoder like this video?

happened three times already for me, the problem is - its completely random

any solution or should I just contact Astro?

Happens to my old Pace PVR from time to time, but it happens maybe once a month (or less), so I am not bothered about it as it does not impact my settings or recordings after it boots back up.

hmm, I think after the latest software update it happens quite often

before this, I think I encountered it once only, and I always think it is the software stability problem

so what do you think? is it the software or is it the decoder itself?
*
I believe such matters should be software issue. But from my experience, Astro is quite generous with replacing the boxes. When the hard disk in my previous PVR died, they didn't even bother troubleshooting. They just came over and swapped it out, and activated the new PVR to my smartcard.
