hey guys.. i am tempted with Umobile HERO RM70, with 7GB data & unlimited plan...BUT only one major concern. How was the coverage? Some said, they are using Maxis/Celcom... how true is it?
Currently i am using Celcom with 5GB data plan.. Have been using Maxis, DIGI.. Maxis & Celcom is the only TRUE provider with widest coverage no matter where u go in Malaysia.. DIGI.. NO WAY.... hate the poor in door no signal coverage..
Hope Umobile usres to provide feedback..

with Maxis 2G onboard, does it mean that no issue to cover call service? But 3G,4G data is really Umobile own coverage.. QUOTE(LostAndFound @ Nov 6 2015, 04:30 PM) As usual, just test with a prepaid. Their 'using' Maxis currently is 2G only, and 3G in places where they not currently serve. Do your research.

3G: U Mobile/ Maxs (area dependent? Does it means that once Umobile 3G does not cover, it will cover by Maxis 3G depend on area ONLY?... Or as long as Maxis has 3G coverage, for sure Umobile will cover it by ridding on Maxis 3G?? QUOTE(wcypierre @ Nov 11 2015, 12:51 PM) If Maxis serves that place well then yeah it works well. 3g is dependent on the area you're at, some are covered by U Mobile while the rest are by Maxis. In short, 2g: Maxis 3g: U Mobile/Maxis (area dependent) 4g: U Mobile

thanks for your sharing.. if that is the case, i think it is quite risky to choose Umobile... although 7GB data is given.. But, with low coverage.. hardly we can fully utilise it.. what do you think? QUOTE(zher4883 @ Nov 11 2015, 01:15 PM) As far as I know, Penang and Melaka are confirmed to ride on Maxis 3G statewide. Other state are unknown to the public.

that is why it called HERO plan 70.. see who want to do HERO 1st ? QUOTE(zher4883 @ Nov 11 2015, 01:23 PM) Personally I am very satisfied with their coverage at this price. I don't have any complaint for such good plan at this price unless they are charging at the same price as Maxis

that is a good idea too.. by the way which groceries shop? Tesco? spend RM 50 entitle to buy U Mobile prepaid for just RM 1? QUOTE(wcypierre @ Nov 11 2015, 01:51 PM) anyway, if you are going to go and get some groceries for home, get RM50 of groceries and you can buy U Mobile prepaid for RM1. If not then just pay the normal 8.50 and try it out and see if it fits your bill
