QUOTE(wcypierre @ Jan 30 2015, 02:36 AM) QUOTE(giko @ Jan 30 2015, 09:13 AM) looks like these prepaid plans may be better than the postpaid ones as you can c/f the unused calls/sms! The new UMI 50 seems like better than my current U50. 2GB VS 3GB Free 30minutes call (U to U) everyday. Remaining will carry forward. Holysht, I'm gonna switch to this. Edit: Wait a seconds, the U50 was replaced by P50, dafuk? This post has been edited by NightFelix: Jan 30 2015, 09:44 AM |

QUOTE(CnY Garage @ Jan 30 2015, 10:07 AM) I just realized the U50 gone missing and replaced by P50, and there are new P70 as well too.Currently using U50 already, do you recommend me to switch over the new plan? that data offer looks tempting. |

QUOTE(CnY Garage @ Jan 30 2015, 10:26 AM) i try to get more info about switching plan to P50 from U50 within these few days, kinda confusing too QUOTE(huruhara @ Jan 30 2015, 10:34 AM) Actually I'm using U50, but monthly normally pay bill roughly from between RM60-RM80. So the P70 looks worthy upgrade. |

QUOTE(batman1172 @ Jan 31 2015, 11:31 AM) On U50. What's the difference with P50 ? Worth switching ? My calls are about 80-90 minutes monthly off net. I was tempting to upgrade from my U50 too. Somemore Free 30mins call everyday. QUOTE(CnY Garage @ Jan 31 2015, 11:35 AM) off net cost = 0.1/min Sure worth la, now a days, not call or sms expensive, is data most expensive, take a look at Maxis so you would be paying extra 30-40min = RM 3-4 for this extra 1gb from U50, u say worth or not QUOTE(CnY Garage @ Jan 31 2015, 11:35 AM) prepaid plan I was so wondering why those Device bundle plan haven't update to new P50/P70 plan.old time top up RM 30 = free 30mb top up RM100 = free 100mb this is quite annoying when some customers keep asking me why ah i bought 5gb but used a while then sms state that i had used 80% free data ... haha good news for me |

QUOTE(CnY Garage @ Jan 31 2015, 12:47 PM) he means this So basically the first day of the 30mins to Umobile is a joke because it will utilize the first 50mins. Which bundled voice calls in my postpaid plans is being utilized first? All calls made to either on-net calls (to U Mobile Network) or off- net minutes (to other network) will utilize the ALL network bundle. Once exhausted, only the on-net calls (to U Mobile Network) will utilize the FREE on-net bundle and the off- net minutes (to other network) will be charged Pay As You Use charges. |

QUOTE(wcypierre @ Feb 1 2015, 03:10 PM) there's no difference from before as it is the same case as well in the old plan. The new plan offers more data which is more worth it to be honest. If you need more call time, you can apply for Voice Plus(RM 8 for 80minutes to other operators) I couldnt agree you more.http://www.u.com.my/postpaid_addOn |

QUOTE(digitalz @ Feb 2 2015, 10:46 AM) Although this is not that related since my question would be on wireless broadband, still I would like to get the infos from the umobile users here. As far I know the modem they told me is unlocked. You can even sell back to the Reseller if I'm not mistaken...How is the line? Stable? I am planning to potong maxis and enter the non contract line with umobile. U88 I think. The new mifi modem is better compared to the older one. And they told me that it's unlocked. Any idea On how good this is? on both the modem and line? |

QUOTE(wcypierre @ Feb 27 2015, 10:10 PM) Nope. My parents was using a Long Live Plan on Hotlink which have 365days validity, the bad is 35sens/min calls, and as well no Data Plan option (got, but not worth for value) So I decide to jump to UMI20 for my parents which are cheaper call rate and as well have data incase they can WhatsApps/WeChat us.In cause you curious, the 365days validity is RM33/years. |

QUOTE(wcypierre @ Feb 28 2015, 01:31 AM) okay. understood. just asking so that I know what to answer when people asks about wanting to mnp in the future Thats the reason, non-techy Aunty or Uncle normally just call as priority, so the call rate must cheap, no matter on-network or off-network.Summary, the reason for your mnp decision is: 1. Cheaper calls(both ways - since UMI offers free calls and even if that is used up, there's still free calls for UM <-> UM) 2. Data plan w/ quota enough for your parents Another things is offer cheap Data bundle are great, because they won't Facebook/Youtube madness like us. Even they do, UMI50 offer 3GB Data which my area have very good Umobile Coverage compare to DiGi/Maxis. By the ways, their D/M/H Plan are sucks so much. |

After weeks of thinking.. I still think that the previous U50 are better than P50 based on my call usage which most people I call are still not using Umobile.

QUOTE(wcypierre @ Mar 10 2015, 03:56 PM) If you need more calls while the previous data allocation are enough for you then the old plan are definitely better Ya that is why I stick with U50. Meanwhile, iPhone priced increased last night. I wonder what Umobile offer this time...yeah, move to UMI30 would be better. |

QUOTE(kl87 @ Mar 16 2015, 09:51 AM) Ok, let me tell my story with Umobile. Been with them for more than a year, however recently really dissapointed and feel cheated by their so call "free roaming" I'm so sorry to heard your incident, but to be exact, the so call Free Roaming are include both Upload + Download. So I'm not sure how the Onava Count Apps work, but based on your feedback, I highly believe that they haven't implement the FREE Roaming Data Alert feature.I top up rm50 like 2 weeks ago, for this free roaming, limited 50mb per day is a steal for me, as i can use in Singapore daily. First few days is ok, untill like mid of last week, suddenly my credit been deduct RM30, which means i have exceeded my daily limit till the max. However, UMOBILE DID NOT SEND NOTIFICATION TO ME !!!! Ok, i admit my fault, trusted their system. But hey, which company do not want to earn more right ? So i blame myself. Nvm, yesterday thought of a solution, i will download data usage monitoring, got an app called "onava count" set my daily limit to 40mb. Well today another incident. Niah Mah Hei UMOBILE, i woke up to work, wondering why my phone so quiet, no whatsapp, no email whatever. Shit, my UMOBILE data services is NOT on, i'm sure something went wrong. Check my credit, left RM4 from previous RM20+. Money gone without my knowledge AGAIN. WTF , i check my app not even 2mb used for today MONDAY MATAFUKER UMOBILE, give you one last chance, i assume the money deduct because of yesterday usage, and i install my apps late, so nothing to complaint. But now i got apps monitoring my daily data usage, if this kind of funny thing keep happening, i sure will complaint kao kao. Lesson learnt, 1) nvr trust umobile, protect your self with a separate app 2) their website FAQ is basically useless 3) you will NOT receive a notification at 80% and 100% utilisation of your FREE roaming quota. 4) you CANNOT check your free roaming usage by dialing *118*6*3*2#. Anyone who plan to use their FREE roaming regularly, becareful. Take my above experience as a guidence to you all. Maybe you can try complain to SKMM? |

QUOTE(CnY Garage @ Mar 16 2015, 05:54 PM) don't think that would be effective to complain to SKMM because this case should be accidentally over used of free data, and most important this is prepaid Apa jadi not yet know? Company only send you particular after tonight 12.00am? Lol but still might give it a try and let us know the result not yet, but I can tell that I AM ENTITLED TO OFFER THIS IPHONE BUNDLE PLAN SOON |
