am I getting scam? I use interbank transfer roughly rm8000 to a seller in here on friday night, but till now the seller claim that the money hasn't reach his bank yet, I'm kinda afraid



I feel like it's a reliable seller, so that I make a full payment for that computer, who knows the seller gone rogue.

Quick update: I called the bank, RHB claim that the transaction has been transferred and the seller hasn't got the amount yet ( that's what he said )

lu pergi call rhb , tell them why take so long , they will help u follow up.

Call RHB and check, if kena scam, make police report on the account holder.

then ask for your transaction reference number and the transaction availability
pass the transaction number to the seller and ask the seller to check with their end (bank) by using this reference number whether its floating,etc
inter bank longest takes 1 working day to process
i strongly suggest you call now at least you do something if fraudulent occurs

Interbank GIRO transfer (IBGT) only takes about 1 working day depends on the bank.

before 12pm transfer = same day received at night usually get it.

after 12pm transfer = next day before 12pm get it.

you did an online transfer = you have reference # and amount. printscreen it in case seller didn't get the amount and you can claim it on your respective bank.

Usually every transaction in or out from the account can be seen again including transfer to another bank.Go check the reference number again?

most of the time interbank giro took 1 day, since u're doing it on friday evening, should had been updated on 11am today and should had shown on the seller record around 4-5pm
better check with RHB

They deduct your ballance immediately but the money is floating .. Somewhere.. Just call bank now.. If you can.. If the transfer is successful.. Better you go meet the guy .. Try see his bank statement.. If he is lying or what..

Most I've ever banked in to get something is RM300 and it was a reputable company, coming from someone that's selling on this forum (no offence) with just vouches, COD is always recommended.

Don't agree with the "interbank usually 2-3 working days".

I have transferred to/from different banks, and they have all appeared later in the next business day IF done before the cutoff time.

For internet purchases, I know for a fact because those sellers ship out the goods the next day after they receive payment.

If use IBFT via ATM, the transfer speed is instant, and fee is RM1.

If use IBG via computer, it takes one to two working days, and fee is 10 sen.

before cut-off time, consider 1 working days, next day is the 2nd day. interbank transfer involve both side process. one from the bank that we transfer. after finish then the receiving bank will start process.

and in most of bank's online system, there are column for 1 day float and 2 days float for this purpose.

i've also done many interbank transaction, and i noticed Bank Islam is the slowest in processing the request. Maybank & Cimb are the fastest.

while RHB, it usually appear on the 2nd day, after 9pm.

Seller still claim that he did not receive payment , I've called bank : (
