Details of the complaint :

On the said date, i hv met yongjian85 at Leisure Mall area around 1130pm. Wanted to buy Samsung Galaxy S4 White claim to be AP set. He was so kind to explain me everything, even promise me to send the S View cover the day after which he accidentally left at home. I start to doubt the set as a clone set when i check the box imei is not the same with phone imei. He even explain that AP set is normal to have different imei. Nah, i dont mind it as long as its valid AP set.

Later when i back home, i check further the phone and story short, i found it to be a clone phone. I dont know if this guy really dont know that he selling a clone set or he intend to cheat me. COMSAT warranty card is there, SIRIM sticker is there and Camera sucks (showing only 12MP). So i smsed yongjian85 and as i m expected, the phone number no longer available. So, thats the reason that i hv decide that this guy is a SCAMMER.

So, i started to investigate. 1 thing this guy didnt know is, i hv silently recorded video. I always do this when i start to feel something fishy. (This can be your tips too )

thats y everytime before i buy a samsung phone i will always do a benchmark to compare the score and see the Soc information afterwards . china products always use the mediatek Soc bcuz of cost saving .

U need to know that now we cannot rely on benchmark app already. anyway, seller contact me and want to refund tonite. Let see.

ya still there are alot of app out there that you can extract the Soc information from ..
LOL .. ur fail safe mechanism too , if i were the scammer also i will refund .

In my opinion, even though he willingly refund, he should not be left off the hook so easily. He refund because he is still not experienced yet to scam, which might be a different story for the next victim. Once a person loses all conscience and scam another person, his spots will not change.

Yes. Not until u check the system hardware inside. N the camera off course. I even suspect tht comsat really did selling clone set as ap set.

some of them is AAA grade there is no way to spot d diff from outer look . but the internal hardware is all diff.. u ccan try to spot it from there

from the photo shown I think he is a handphone seller.... really scary.... and good to hear that u r getting refunded....

With this kind of seller, i quite sked la. buy mahal punya phone, then found out it was a clone set, later go to the shop and punch the seller, and then get sued for beating people. i'll probably stick to my nokia 1280 torchlight for time being.

btw apis, next time install CPUZ to validate ur phone. clone phone normally use different chipset and mostly its china chipset.

yes, i just check after that using Android System Info apps. And tbh, u just can tell it fake only by take a look on camera. just a bit rush that day and i did manage to take a precaution.

However I think you should not let him go easy. He wasted your time, effort and cause u frustration. If you let him go easy, he will do it again. Your head can be stepped and all he need to do is undo his action without any consequences. He will try again on another victim.

I was scammed of RM1400 once. But this guy is tricky. He doesn't want to refund and give all sort of excuses, epic scenarios, delay many time and such (it was easy for him as I'm in sarawak that time and he was in semenanjung plus I was still in university while he is working already).

So being a gentleman, I didn't announce it to his facebook/friends. I was doing this for him, being a good guy and trying not to destroy his future and ruin his friendship with others. I waited until I came to semenanjung, found his house and talk to his parents. His parents sucks, same species as him. Useless talking to his parents. They even dare to say it is my fault for giving my money to him so padan muka me, saying the world is like this, I just have to adapt. I was pissed and told them it is them and their son that is making this world worse for all of the genuine people/traders. Sworn I will not only get back my money but teach them a lesson.

That was when I investigated really deep and with the help of others, managed to not only collect enough people and evidences to present to the police, but also instill fear in him. Total scammed from me and others was RM24k. He is a goner for sure. He cried, beg, threaten to kill himself bla bla bla. Actually he cried a lot, screamed in the handphone saying he will kill himself for quite a few times. I told him if he want to kill himself, than it is his own action and doesn't involve me at all.

To cut the story short, he refunded all my money plus extra rm200 through monthly installments. Others were refunded too. After that, he has to quit his job here and ran to sarawak to start new (I was tracking him a bit, his parents ran too). I guess that is enough punishment from me so I didn't involve the police.

Hope he has changed.

i dont even want to hear anything from him tbh. because obviously he trying to scam. Proofs :

1) When we 1st met he said this phone he got from lucky draw, but just now he said i dont know wo, this set my boss gave me.

2) When we 1st met, he just so talkative, even invite me to go to his shop where he work and its GIORDANO boutique when clearly now that he work at phone shop. another tips, a scammer, perhaps a beginner one, will try to be as talkative as he can in order to convince buyer and hiding their nervousness.

3) He at 1st promise to give me the S view cover as well, but end up claim that he left it at home. try to convince me that he will send as soon as the next day (17/7) but as u know, empty promise as he never can get contacted anymore. after i kantoi him on his other number, he pretend like he know nothing, and told me that he got rompak by 2 ppl just after met me last time and his phone and cash all gone.

4) and a phone shop worker dont know about clone phone? u ask ur self.

really? at least not to my eyes. hehe
