Hey guys, need some opinions on my current intake setup, lost power at high end and top speed compare to previous setup ohmy.gif (previous- drop in then this Works system with original air routing)

not here to compare drop in/open pod or anything to this 'closed pod' setup laugh.gif .. just need opinion as to why Im losing power (120-140kmh so much slower to reach now)

piping size 2.5-3inch, properly sealed, few parts joint together so 'surface' not that smooth, but wont be too much issue right..

so based from the look, not getting enough air at high speed? or too much air not enough fuel? laugh.gif I doubt

non-cps neo tho.. Thanks.

Ehh... Already join.. Haha..

I think the works closed port restrict airflow.. If u compare with stock/drop in, more filteration and more airflow..

With air box can maintain air volume on high speed..

My 2ยข..

My physics definately failed ahha doh.gif .. If posible wil tweak this diy intake a liltle, else will source for open pod then diy heatshield

hmm.. maybe u have to check 1 by 1 all of the fuse.
im afraid ur fog lamp wire might short circuit. coz it doesnt have the connector cover and just barely clip to the foglamp bulb leg.
*
so u remember biggrin.gif actually Iv already replaced the connector back with the original one, tested and working.. thn one day I turn it on again only to find that its not working anymore sweat.gif thn removed the bumper and re-check the wiring.. ok je unsure.gif

hey guys, got a question:

except for the pressure switch on the door, what else can cause the 'door open' indicator to go on/off?

My problem is when drivin along, the 'Door Open' indicator will flicker if the road is not completely smooth, so far I think is the pressure switch fault.. cus if I knock on the door panel from inside, can see the indicator flicker also..

or anyone know how the pressure switch work? cus if I remove the screw, the indicator will not light up, its like the screw is needed to complete the circuit hmm.gif ground?

normal spare part shop can get replacement?

Check your cabin light. There are 3 selector switch: ON-DOOR-OFF.
When the switch at DOOR position, cabin lamp will ON when door opens and OFF when door closes.
For temporary fix, position the cabin light switch to either ON or OFF position.
Take your car to accessory shop to fix the metal strip inside the cabin lamp.

hi smile.gif, yep already off it, else will be like disco inside (seriusly) icon_idea.gif the problem is the indicator on the dash~ keep flashing doh.gif make me think sooner or later the led or sumthin else wil burn due to the constantly changin on/off state

Update us after you change the switch see whether it helps.
actually i don't prefer adjust door hinge method, it causes my door abit harder to close now.
*
for me it worked.. so my issue is really the 'pressure switch'. the plate inside got 'dirty' (sum stuff buildin on the surface) over time, thus creating resistance between the 2 contact surface, and making the connection weak..

after driving around for a day, the issue didnt come back.. biggrin.gif thats for my case anyway, for gen2 im not sure, maybe realy is the thing thats supposed to press the switch down misaligned

hey guys, anyone using LED bulb on the 'small' front light? I've changed mine to a 5smd led and noticed it flickering (like strobe light) randomly while the engine is running, with engine off it is ok tho.

What could be the problem? Any idea?

1.) the led is cheap type RM10 something
2.) I hv led bulb for interior light and boot light, they have no problem
3.) I hvnt try swaping to the back (number plate light)

yeay..
after heavy rain and car park about 3-4 days..
went into car and smell like 'wet carpet'..

officially my car also water leaking into front passenger side..  doh.gif

suspect water leaking thru inner door panel, as in pic can see water droplet/stain under the door between door and door's panel.

havent open the panel yet... still looking for sound dampener sheet.  hmm.gif
*
Hi Max wave.gif if heavy rain.. mine hvin the same problem.. checked mine and its due to the rubber attached to a 'thing' (behind the speaker) that came off.. that 'thing' is to direct the water going into the door panel out kot sweat.gif

btw jus curious.. my retrofitted headlamp, can still open up and change bek to the stock halogen projector?

notworthy.gif when driving, the noise is very minimal or no noise at all, but loud when car is parked.
since yesterday evening, few days ago heavy rain, drove thru a few deep puddles at around 40-60km/h, that might be the cause? hmm.gif

actually there's another problem since months ago.. sometimes when driving slow (and normally is when car still cold after stopped for some time) can hear a soft 'klurk klurk klurk' noise when going slow, going str8 or turn the noise also there, searched for similar thread .. but can't help much .. when send for servicing the mech cant detect also, maybe cus it's still not tat serious so visually they cant tel which part is wearing out? when the mech test drove he say no problem also sweat.gif

do u try ask them to lift up the car and check?i mean without load and check the knock is still there? and do u perform visual inspection at your steering rack and knuckle as well?..look for foreign object or something?..

or maybe ask ur friend to turn and u listen/tracking the noise outside? hmm.gif

Hey guys, just wondering, if you are thinking of replacing your NEO with a car that is around RM80k, which car wld it be?

Condition to meet:
- Used/New, no matter
- Prefer Hatchback -> B segment SUV -> B seg sedan (NOT Myvi, Godcar Vios, Almera)
- Handle as good as NEO
- Moderate power ~ 100hp++(Quite subjective hmm)
- As good looking as NEO (Subjective a bit haha)
- Practicality - no matter
- Resale value - no matter, maybe cheap to maintain~

So what would it be? hmm.gif
First I can think of is Fiesta, pay bit more for ecoboost?
Rio is very sexy, but not really that 'powerful' I heard

Just random question anyway biggrin.gif
