yah.. i know zordaq can repair.. but rm120 i think abit expensive if just minor adjustment.
last time follow my friend repair IAFM (persona) only RM50. pomen just unscrew some 'motor module' at intake, bring inside (trade secret i assumed) around 3min. then pasang back.

i already open the VIM motor module. this is what inside.
not my picture thou. forgot to take mine.

the gearing kinda loose (got free play). and the metal shaft there vibrate when engine running. i hold the shaft with playar and the sound minimize.
the tak tak tak sound can be heard after full warm-up (blue temp icon at meter off)
the sound kinda like 'tepet' sound..
*
QUOTE(yc1987 @ Feb 10 2015, 10:46 PM)
your tak tak tak sound is when?
i.e. idle, WOT, half throttle, lift off or ?
i too initially thought the sound for mine was from the intake manifold but sound is very tricky as it echos everywhere... turns out it is the drive plate that was broken
*
tak tak tak VIM sound will occur after full warm up (blue temp off).
it is confirm from VIM coz i have done troubleshooting.

I have compared both 205/50 and 195/50 side by side and 205 is 1-2 cm 'tinggi' than 195. Even my frens and families noticed that my Neo became taller somehow  sweat.gif
*
of course abit tinggi coz profile 50% height from width. 205 need 45 (or 40) profile tyres.

its quite difficult to dismantle the headlamp. especially to remove the headlamp from car. have to remove the bumper 1st.

^ It is very very tedious. Make sure you have a partner to help you if u insist on DIY. Changed my pair of headlights and it took hours with help.
*
yep.
i have done half dozen neo headlamp to changed the projector to dedicated HID projector.
i think most time consuming is to remove and install back the headlamp.. sweat.gif

Really? Yeah there were bolts and I had to remove the bumper before removing the headlights but I thought it was fairly simple.

I'm currently differed for a semester at Inti. I hang out around ss15 and PJ/Ldp area.

QUOTE(hahaha1989 @ Feb 25 2015, 08:02 AM)
well if that's the case, there's absolutely no chance for me to DIY haha. I'm a bit like Jeremy Clarkson of top gear, the most impractical man in the world when it comes to DIY  yawn.gif
*
removing bumper is the difficult part.. screw and those plastic clip..
if u r on std non cps bumper easier, coz plastic/PU bumper. CPS bumper made from fiber.. so its quite hard to maneuver the side part at the fender..
some more with R3 lips.. bottom already got 6-8 screw.. ahhaaha. sweat.gif

Sorry dont have photo or video but I posted the dyno chart few pages behind for the poison hehehe.
Yup using haltech sp500. If using the piggy supplied I believe only around 160whp.
My opinion, if RM2k might as well change to mivec gearbox. Price still the same but you can keep your gearbox.
*
up to owner.. whistling.gif
mivec gb got abit different ration on certain gear if not mistaken.

solving water leaking into cabin/floor near door.

as posted earlier in this thread.
after heavy rain, some owner reported water leaking into cabin near door sill.

this is my car. got a chance to find out where the water comes in.
water traces between door 'skin' or panel and under the door.

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

as i suspected, when raining, water seeps thru outside door glass and drips at the bottom end of the glass in the door.
then it drips on to the speaker and leaking thru the speaker bracket/holder.
after 'puddling' at speaker holder, it then seeps thru door frame and speaker holder, resulting in water dripping into the cabin.

what i had done is putting thick plastic (rice packaging) behind the speaker holder.
double tape, rice plastic packaging, masking tape.

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

putting back the speaker, the plastic had to fold downward, protecting the speaker and the speaker holder.
btw, make sure the plastic when folded fully covered, or better if extend downward more than the speaker holder.
*sorry no pics of this.

after this mod, water dripping onto the speaker holder will directly go down directly into bottom of the door.
at the door bottom got water outlets that let water flow outside.

hope u all understand.. unsure.gif
