Well if you don't want to add thickness and can clearly see the back of the phone. Go for extremeguard. Of course in terms of protection, it's always better to use a casing. I got it RM 20. You won't be able to find it locally though.
They don't provide replacement phone. Unless you can get a spare phone better don't send for warranty yet. I think HTC themselves not sure it's a hardware or software issue. I remember someone said got mention in xda about this.
*
They dont provide meh? Hmm. Thats why. Htc also not sure so i am in a dilemma wanna send for waranty or not bcoz have no spare phone.

If take back to digi where i bought the phone will do any good?

I think if you take back to Digi they will ask you to go straight to HTC. However, do try first and ask Digi and tell us about it later.
Can you snap any pictures? Well if you think it affects you greatly, can go and claim warranty.
*
Hi, sent my htc one for warranty yesterday. Digi will not layan the problem if you exceed the 3 days policy for replacement. They request me to go to HTC service center for the purple tint camera issue.

Went to htc service center. if your phone have any issue and within 14 days from purchase date, they can provide to replace your phone one on one. But sadly mine already almost 3 months. So i have to claim warranty.

Nice thing is they provided me a temporary phone as i dun have any spare phone for my work and personal usage. But will take about a week for the warranty/ repairing process.

After leave my phone for repair. I went to a HTC store. The demo set also got purple tint issue. The sales person that was using htc one also have the issue. But he said the htc one red version got no purple tint camera issue. They may have fixed it by then.

Just to share with you guys. thanks. smile.gif

Hi guys,

I'm a proud owner of a black 32gb HTC One!  rclxms.gif

But I'm kinda having a issue whereby the camera will have a purplish red hue when shooting in low light. Is this a manufacturing defect? What should I do (just got the phone yesterday)?
*
Sorry to hear that bro. Better go back to where u bought the phone bro. If telco, surely can replace one to one.

Didn't know HTC so good, provide one on one replacement if send in within 14 days of purchase..urs is SiS or brightstar warranty? Btw, what spare phone did they borrow u? My unit have a small gap at the place where the aluminium contact the plastic side near the power button, and there's on the side of the phone there's one part the plastic wasn't cut nicely, very rough..might send for replacement since I just bought it a few days ago..
*
Mine is SIS warranty. They gave me a HTC Radar C110e Windows phone. Ok la. I dun mind as long as they can repair my HTC One, and the temporary phone can check email and surf for work, should be fine with me. Try go to the place where u bought first. If not, quickly go to the nearest htc service center. thumbup.gif

Didn't know they provide temporary phone. Never heard before. Care to elaborate how you managed to get a temporary phone? hmm.gif

Yup, at first mmg dun have. But i really2 dun have any spare phone. Plus it is not my fault i want to claim warranty for repair. It was htc fault for the defect. So i request to speak to their manager. Then after quite some time, the service person discussed with the manager inside, they provided me a phone.

Really appreciate it. I was really satisfied they can provide me a good temporary phone. Thumbs up! thumbup.gif

Sadly I have the shop (Satu Gadget Dot Com) a call and they guy told me to go to the Kelana Jaya service center, I'm quite disappointed with that since I bought it only yesterday...  mad.gif

My phone is under the SiS warranty too, does that mean I can just go to the Times Square HTC service center and claim the replacement?

Har.. need to goreng my complain skill? would they reject my claim if I wasn't acting angry enough  shocking.gif ?
*
Haha. No la, just joking on the goreng thing. They will be glad to help u. The best is tell them honestly and the truth. I think from what i know (correct me if i am wrong), the HTC service center is where we can send any HTC phone that was bought locally. They will then send to SIS or Brightstar company for the warranty claims and repair.

I dunno if i am right. But i think it works that way la. smile.gif

A small update with my trip to HTC service center to fix my faulty camera.

They said need 3-5 days to get me a new replacement  vmad.gif  (send back to check and diagnose and stuff), but I will go overseas next week (which makes the 14 days 1-1 replacement invalid). So they gave me this Service Ticket copy for RMA and said that I can still request for replacement afterwards  hmm.gif .
Btw, I went to the Berjaya TS service center and they said they have to send to the main office. So, I decided to go to the Kelana Jaya service center to ask instead. Both places, I've seen customers furiously complaining about their repaired phone... and with all the HTC Fb wall posts complaining about their aftersales service... makes me worried  cry.gif

Seems like I cant personalize my phone as much as I would like to already...  sad.gif
*
Hmm.. I still remember the guy there said 14 days still can replace 1 -1. Sorry to hear that bro. But what do meant by this ya:

"So they gave me this Service Ticket copy for RMA and said that I can still request for replacement afterwards"

I've heard alot of users complaining about the aftersales service. That is what i have told the guy at htc as well. I have also read about that HTC One is almost impossible to repair as the aluminum body of the phone is solid. Huhu. I really3 hope that after they open my phone, they can pasang it nicely and touch wood that everything will still be working and look fine on my phone. Pray and Hope. sweat.gif unsure.gif

Ok previously i posted that my screen cracked cos i dropped it accidentally.

Bought on 25 May. Sent to SIS in kelana jaya on 30 July and yesterday 15 Jul could only collect it. Nobody calls me up for collection. I chased them everyday to get repair status by calling their service hotline, and was told that someone would call me for pick up, yet none. SO i was just lucky to be able to collect....

2 weeks to me is too long cos we use phone everyday how to be without phone for 2 weeks.

Anyway, the main point is after collecting the HTC ONE, pics below here shows the problem.

Their repair skill is kind of out of my expectation for premium phone like this. Heartbroken !

Additional crack at the side?!?
user posted image

Glue came out from the gap
user posted image
So just let you know, if nothing bad, dont go service cos the phone will never look like the same premium feel anymore.

Note: I requested them to fix the problems. THey said will change the housing. Ok i'll see what my phone may turn up. Sad for my new phone became like pasar malam handphone.
By the way, a side note, my friend who got HTC ONE already went to tribunal with SIS. Got full refund wink.gif
*
Damn. Now even i am also scared what will happen to my phone. Sigh. cry.gif

Woah! Ur fren went to tribunal ka? Gosh. Until that extend. Scared already. unsure.gif

My last experience with HTC Times Square was sending in on behalf my friend to change motherboard of his HTC One. Took about 40+ days to get it back. Called them several times n each time standard answer waiting for spare parts n I will be informed when ready.
My last call they only said was ready for collection since 3 days ago n they didn't even bother to call me.
Consolation was a Perfect job n I cannot even see any trace of case being removed. The very minor gaps that was previously there was very improved too
*
40+ days??? Gosh. So long. doh.gif

Once you went for collection, do u ask them why took so long or complaint? hmm.gif

Wow, with all these feedback,I think I will stick with my crack screen at the moment until it really goes bad... My phone got no bugs, no battery issue, not even the tint issue, no gaps as well, just it got cracked on the screen.... =\

Actually we are just concern on the after-sales service only that's all. Anyways, no doubt the HTC One is a fantastic phone in my books.

Hope they can really improve their after-sales services. Really hope so. smile.gif

3-5 days to diagnose what happen and quote you, or tell you what they gonna do with it. Definitely NOT fixed by 3-5 working days

Aiyark. 3 -5 days diagnose only ka? Damn. That means confirm 1 week lor to repair. Btw, do u know if they check the bootloader for root status?

Luckily they gave me a windows phone that can check email and do stuff my htc can. If not sure as hell susah mau keje.
