hi guys, my first post on this forum, l hav a asus gtx680 dcu2oc, been itchy hand removed the cooler to clean dust, after l put it back to one piece, card jz go crazy overheat, 50c idle, able to reach 98c if full load jz few sec, lm guessing maybe it is the thermal compound issue, l had RMA-ed the card with All IT, anyone here experience RMA b4? ussually how long it takes? the reseller said 2 months, my god!

l did try to install back a 2nd times, it seems stable after that, but the temp still higher than b4, full load 75c, b4 l remove the cooler running at 1149 mhz only get me to 66c at most. at the time l remove the cooler, the thermal that applied on the chip is dam dried up, anyway like you said, nothing can be done except wait.

btw l noticed a lots of jaggies, shadow jaggie, shadow flickering, shimmering on games like gw2, skyrim, dmc, tomb raider, assassin creed, almost all game, but different kind of issue on each game, l am using a dell 23 inch IPS monitor, l duno izit the card problem or monitor?

that's one of the reason l decided to rma the card, been trying all sort of settings in nvidia control panel, the only fix l can get for shimmering is turn on supersampling 8x

on board display cant even boot up, u mean on mobo right? using i7 3770k, izit anything l need to do in bios?

okay will try it after l get home, on side note, l did try connect my monitor to my gf hd7770, a bit less jaggie on gw2 without supersampling.

lm okay with it, my rig is very bright at night, u are like my fren who cant tahan night with light

cannot la, each ppl definition of bright is not same, my chassis mid range, with 2 colour fan on it atm, later u expect a watercool-ed pic come out, l will be very awkward~~

finally finish install my Gtx780 Lightning

did u saw theres an arrow beside ur power limit bar? click that the temperature limit will show up, there u can adjust the temp limit & also link or unlink it, been testing on my 780, even though l set the temperature limite to 86c, its barely hit 70c

a refresh version of 680, faster clock speed, more memory. as for downside the dcu2 not so handsome maybe?

comparison between 760 and 770, l guess u can take it like 670 vs 680, 760 slightly below 670, 770 slightly better than 680

if u can wait, best wait amd unveil thier volcanic island gpu on september 25th to see how hard they can hit nvidia card, might get a price drop on nvidia soon.

l used a 680 b4, can almost play anything in 1080p 30-60fps, its gd for gaming, but benchmark no, l suppose 770 should be beter than 680 about extra 10%.

the price is okay to get a high end card, if u could save up a few hundred bucks more, y not take a look at 780, might get a price cut soon also because of amd

felt overkill when u sli it!?

maybe l don really get it of what u said about having 780sli finally worth it

l guess lm one, but not die hard one, kinda satisfied with single card, if given by chance will gladly go for sli too

on triple buffer from ur nvidia control panel, and on Vsync for ur games, what kind of monitor and resolution u running? 1080p at 60refresh rate shouldnt be a problem

Wonder 2 way 780 sli enough for 4k!?
