Yes, I understand this part very well.
But that doesn't mean you will see every text in English.
Example, I play on JP server using EN client, but players can still communicate in JP.
And if you can't read/write JP (like me), then you missed all the trade/group shouts.
Plus, GM announcements, which can be quite important.
I just wish to understand 2 things before I jump in:
A) Lag
Anyone tried EU server before? Is JP smoother than EU? How much difference approximately?
B) Attitude of JP players towards non-JP.
I wouldn't consider playing in JP initially...but actually I took JP class before in university (JP 101...), so now perhaps is a good time to brush-up again

BTW, I successfully Pre-Ordered digital version, and created account. But I don't see where I pay subscription...also asked to register for some Crysta thingy...not sure what's that too, lol.
Yes you wont see every text in English.
FYI there's auto translate function for you to use to translate from english to japanese if you wish to communicate with them. But for the japanese players who dont use the auto translate, the only way I know is to copy the chat text and paste it in google translate. (Im able to do the copy paste in 1.0, but cant seem to do it in ARR.

)
GM/server announcement i think wont be a problem, since in phase 3 beta, I can see it in english.(the announcement where they say server will closed in .... min, etc)
for the JP players attitude, from
my experience they are very humble and polite. I dont know about others though.
