which one and why. pros and cons

Software Vendor:

Pros: Loads of stuff to learn. Hands on experience.
Cons: Pay may not be better, but chances are on par with user companies. Shiat load of work

Users:

Pros: Good pay and benefits (most of the time ). Lots of chicks!!! (just kidding)
Cons: More of a support role. Less stuff learned. Learn how to ask ppl to do stuff though.

Final decision? I'm not sure myself...

use to be working at vendor now working in a financial company, feel boring lah, looking to go back into vendor side of work. :-)

Another advantage of "user" is that you usually are much more focussed than a vendor. For example, a vendor will likely move on to new projects, new customers quickly after "finishing" a project. Leaving the users to spend perhaps years working deeply with the system.

Currently working with the vendor side of things... not too bad.

mind to share the pros and cons with a vendor?

vendor is for tough people which normally is young man
while user for old man which cant take stress

well... some users does wad vendors do too... as in for internal, takkan everything also call vendor, then sure kena charge like hell lor....

sure need some expert internally too rite... ?
