Bought V5-473PG today with Plextor M5S 128GB and 4gb of ram upgrade.

Comments:

1) Build Quality - Excellent (8/10)
2) Sound - Loud and Clear (9/10)
3) Screen Quality ( 6/10)
4) Touch Pad (8/10)
5) Boot up time in 4 sec (10/10)
6) Keyboard (7/20) Need some time to get used to it

Overall I'm quite satisfy with the performance.
=)

Well, the build quality is good.. I asked one of them, the said its due to the touch screen is unnecessary, thats why they didnt recommend there, but i think an additional touch screen wont hurt =).

If Acer release the exact same spec but without touchscreen, they could probably sell it by RM200-300 less  hmm.gif
That mean instead of a 128G, you could probably put in a 256G Plextor M5S with your money tongue.gif  icon_rolleyes.gif

Yep been thinking the same, or they cam improve the screen quality with extra RM300,no? sad.gif

Just some updates after owning this laptop for a while.

They did replace an i7 processor to me before. But not long ago, my display was not working. I sent to service centre to fix.

The problem was when I push the power button, the display flash for several times before it enters OS. Eventually something bad happened and display refused to work. I need to stress that the RAM and processor are perfectly fine. Because every time after it booted up, everything is perfectly fine.

It takes almost 3 weeks to fix. Because the person in charge decided to swap my i7 processor motherboard to a REFURBISHED i5 processor motherboard and make another profit. I did some research online, and find out that it might be just display inverter problem. They just want my motherboard back, and said that if I still want to have the i7 processor motherboard, I have to top up another rm200.

I don't want to waste time arguing with them, and paid for rm500 to fix a display inverter, and downgraded to i5 processor motherboard. I am strongly disappointed with the service.

And yes, the screws will be loosen over time. I am surprised to find out 2 screws are lost when I sent my unit in the service center. And after I received the repaired product, yesterday I found out that the screws are loosen.

I will think 1000 times to buy an Acer product in the future.
Good job, the person in charge, I told her that I bought 3 laptops, 1 hybrid, and 1 tablet from Acer. And she still wants to suck money from me. You just lost a loyal customer.
(I don't want to say the name)

Too bad for you. Been using this laptop for almost 2 year with upgraded 8gb ram and a 128gb SSD inside. Never let me down so far.
