OK first of all, in Malaysia, don't have Duncan/YYJ/YYF shops. They used to sell in RadioActive but not no more d. In Singapore got sell @ Spinworkx shop.
I strongly suggest you do some research on the internet as it'll help you gather the require information you need. I used to play yoyo when I was a kid but then stopped. And now I'm hooked again! Who knew yoyos could be addictive. There's just so many things you can do with a yoyo. So when I 1st rejoined the yoyo craze, I was seriously very blur. So I had to do alot alot of research over the internet, and pick up the new terms... I own a Duncan Freehand Zero (FHZ) It's a really awesome yoyo. For beginners and for advanced players. Even Malaysia's yoyo champs use it. I bought mine for RM85. www.m-yo.com - Malaysian Yoyo Club. If you want to buy yoyos, check their trading post and contact Raymond. Check it out. Take note that Duncan FHZ requires Friction Stickers which can only be bought online which is troublesome. But seriously, that's the only con of the FHZ. Unless you want, you can ask someone to help you mod it but with extra service charge. Modding it by silicone recessing it can save you alot of money. Note that it'll make the yoyo unresponsive. And to get an unresponsive yoyo back to your hand, u need to learn something called "Binding". Silicone can be found in any hardware shop and therefore if your silicone runs out, u can just easily buy from hardware shop and apply. Yomega is not a very good brand. I'd suggest Duncan or YoyoJam (YYJ). YoyoFactory is not bad as well. (YYF) If Yoyojam yoyos, you don't need any friction stickers. Btw, those Superyoyo yoyos aren't good. I used to own a Super Dragon Ball. And after I got my FHZ, the difference is like so much! You can't really do much with a Superyoyo. Trust me. Then again, if you're interested, do visit www.m-yo.com - read it up so you'll learn a thing or two. Kindly do your homework before bombarding the forum with questions. They don't like it. Trust me. Been there, done that. XD -Inserted a picture of my Duncan Freehand Zero 2008 Glitter edition Attached thumbnail(s) |

QUOTE(saru88 @ Jan 23 2009, 09:29 PM) wow, i just passed by Toyzbar and saw some of the new Duncan yoyo's... feel like want to start this hobby again... I've just started playing it again in December lol. My Duncan FHZ needs friction stickers. then i saw some1 actually brought back this thread... seriously, nowadays alot of new terms edi... i have seen the freehand thing on the internet... which kinda impressed me... any1 plans to play this thing again? There's still loads of ppl playing yoyos, no worries. So join in the fun! Lets enlarge the yoyo community and let everyone know yoyo-ing isn't just any game. It's really fun once you get the hang of it. Yeah, Freehand Zero is good. If you're playing responsive, you need friction stickers. That's the down side. They're available through online only. Unless you contact Raymond from KL @ www.m-yo.com. He has em. |
