Yes a while ago the gov intended to boom Malaysia's automotive industry but it has reaches to a flat line and they are still protecting it. Some more current initiatives to promote public transportation and car pricing does not match. but the japs construct underground not to avoid earthquake. if that is the main reason, all JR line will be underground. but most JR line are on top where as new Line (a.k.a. route) are constructed underground. |
