well i say etc
usually ppl take those matchstick boxes, not those cardboard ones the ones made from those thin pieces of wood, and ripoff a piece from it and stick it there.
i've done it before also and it seems ok.

You can use almost anything to shim as long as it's thin enough. Under that pressure and in that location, it doesn't matter if it's cardboard or a wooden shim or a used condom.
