The few gaming boards that I grouped together are using the same oem, which is located in China. That's all I know.

Hmm, it's not a surprise to know that oem is china located factory/manufacturer nowadays. Just hope the quality is still as promised by the brands  sweat.gif .

Boards like filco, rosewill and normal ducky are still made in Taiwan.

Yup, switch are changeable. Those brown thingy popped out by it self when I pulled the keycaps with keypuller. doh.gif I removed the keycaps like I removed others.
Is it expensive? And need to remove the casing etc right? Luckily still work fine now.
The o-ring absorb the clacking sound. But I felt a little uncomfy at first because the traveling distance for the keycaps to the base are reduce.
*
I know and also did it to some of my switches b4. Like your case, you can forcefully push then back through. And mine somehow seems to suffer much less damage than your case though.

Btw, it isn't applicable on blue switch, that one you really need to desolder and dismantle the switch to fix it.

Shipping would be about 3-4$, that's around rm10-12. Can you fix it yourself?

Wow, you ship it all the way from Australia?

茶轴

Btw, afaik, shipping from Taobao to Sarawak cost over RM20 per kg, which is really a facepalm if you only purchasing a switch, lol.

If it's as easy as this, why not? You're at Australia already? What else can I buy from there and ask you to help post for me. tongue.gif The switch how much? Can get from Taobao too right?
Ya, quite surprised that the damaged are quite bad.  sweat.gif  doh.gif  So, only blue switch need to desolder and dismantle?
*
1st hand switches if purchase at a minimum quantities should be around RM2.5each

Cause blue switch is 2pieces design, you must attach back the white moving part to the blue stem first, and to done so you must dismantle it.

Hey, thanks man.... How much is it? I can't open Taobao. Damn slow loading. doh.gif

RM20 for less than 1kg IINM. Forgotten my shipping cost last time. doh.gif So, should I get my dreamed wrist rest too? Haha... Or get 104 red or white switch (if available) and join modded switch. sweat.gif
*
Wow, a broken switch manage to convince ppl to gone switch modding brows.gif

Dreamed wrist rest?

Btw, it doesn't made much sense to buy 104 Red switch just to mod existing board into red. You might as well add marginally little more and get a red switch rosewill at rm269.

For clear(I suppose you mean clear instead of white?) though, it is still a considerable option IMO. Cause there aren't much boards come default with clear, not to mention even stock clear board, you still need to ergo mod it.

What keyboard are you using again? I didn't watch the video. Don't bother buying stuff from here, the shipping costs more than you'll ever know, some stuff might be cheap, like a friend of mine just ask me to buy a steelseries mouse, wwo wireless, only rm140 after convert. Sells for rm500 in Malaysia. But the shipping alone costs another 50$ for express -.-
*
RM140 for a wireless SS mouse?! SS is pasar malam brand in Aus?

I still find it funny that the China call Cherry MX Blue as "Green", it will surely confuses those that using google translate.
*
To new comer may be, but to old fag like us, heck not. brows.gif
The 青 simply mean blue in Japanese and ancient Chinese context. For example, blue eye white dragon of yu gi oh, sora aoi owai, justice pao's blue sky and the 青花瓷.

Btw since you touch this topic, those google translator always had a jackychancantbrain.jpg moment when they met with tea axis. laugh.gif

For the coming DuckyShine 3
Do they still keep the mode that you can customize which keys you want them to light up?
Shine 2 has it ..but from most youtube videos i saw about Shine 3 they didnt show this lighting mode anymore.
*
But they got the press and lit mode, which you can extend the dim out timing to make it last longer.

Yeah, I just took it apart.
Alright thanks.
Not sure where to find a desoldering iron.
Possible if I just use the soldering iron to melt it and get rid of it some other way ?  laugh.gif
*
It can be done in the way you mentioned.

But since the holes of led are small, you may not manage to vacuum out all of them in one go.

Thus, be patient and standby some solder wire and desoldering braids to ease your jobs, or else you might burn a holes or 2 on the pcb. If some of the heated solder isn't being sucked in one round, solder on some extra solder on it first then repeat the heat and suck process.

Alternatively, Taobao and RadioShack(us website) do sell desoldering iron, which is normal soldering iron integrated into a vacuum pump, provide more convenience and efficiency.

Just need a temperature controlled iron, and a good quality solder sucker.
Set temp to 450 C, heat and suck. The solder should go away in 1 shot.

If you use el cheapo solder iron, gonna have trouble with Pb-Free solder.
Singer oil for springs.
Others I don't know.
*
I just afraid things gone funny I'd using wd40 as what you said last time.

So the singer oil can use on stabilizer?

I brought Superlube from amazon. Plan to lube by Ergoclear on Ergodox. Will apply only on both side of stem. Not the bump or spring.
Or you can try those lube for Tamiya RC car. Hobby shop should have those.

Rule of thumb for lubing (Saw this from some post in DH)
Spring - Lube that is in liquid form. Low viscosity
Stem/Stabilizer  - Lube that in gel form. Higher viscosity.
*
I think Vaseline fall into the category of viscous lube.

I go and get some later and see what will it do. Hope it isn't corrosive, lol.

Btw, hi long time no see, welcome back.

Price <RM400
Backlit
Wristrest

AFAIK, only CM Storm Trigger fit in the categories. You say the software is problematic, but I think it is possible to be use without software? Trigger is quite a solid board, which is even truck and lamboghini proof. whistling.gif

Alternatively, you can try Jaki, which is practically a clone of SS7G but with backlit.
