If you using the keypad, you ca't turn it off. Why not using stylus writing a SMS?

writing a SMS using stylus can take a long time..especially when you're in the train or moving car...difficult to type leh...
i wonder if there's any possible way to switch off the T9 input? i mean by tweaking or using 3rd party software? oh yeah...let's say if i use some 3rd party software to type sms ... will the T9 function still be activated? |

y don't u try going to :- Start -> Settings -> Input -> Word Completion untick the 'suggest words when entering text' |
