My friend gave me a casing with 2 built in fans inside, as the fans were usually controlled by the veraboard, but since it was burnt and malfunctioned, the fans are not working each time the pc is started.

So, my friend as me to mod it, and AFAIK, the wires can be cut and put inside the female molex... But which hole and how do I do so?

I'm newbie in this... Plz teach... Thanks. notworthy.gif

Wat and where to get those led inside those modded fan?? How much for those?? notworthy.gif

*If I have posted in the wrong section, mods plz move it to a respective section. Thanks in adv* laugh.gif

erm....

why dunt u try it out on another casing which has mobo installed... ( or on a working pc )

just plug the molex connector once u have connected the fan wires to a molex connecter biggrin.gif

Sweat... My home desktop @ home not at campus... doh.gif
can I put a conductor between the green and black port of the power supply?
I recalled someone told me to use this way to test the power supply, so supposing the power supply is running without mobo...

can or not?? unsure.gif

Wow, thanks!! I'd appreciate it! notworthy.gif

Hmm, just put both wires into it and see that will it run or not??
Should I tape the wires to the molex?

And also, let's say it's working, just a celephone tape to tape the wires? Or how??
Any other ways? Coz celephone tape sticking is way not nice.. doh.gif

Thanks, will let you all know the results. wink.gif

I've seen ppl's casing[not cacing laugh.gif], they hid their fan cable very nice, need not tape, and yet it won't fell out, it is like 2 cables mounted into one and *cucuk*-ed into the molex... Is that they take out the ori cable and pierce it and mount it together?? rclxub.gif

owh...

i think they used heatshrink or Cable Sleeving kit biggrin.gif

u can refer to the sticky  , a guide to sleeving psu,

can be used to sleeve a fan's cable too...

Good Luck biggrin.gif

Oic... I thought what was that at first... doh.gif
Thanks...

Hmm, anyway, I wanna ask something about the Led, Wat type of led is used in fan modding? I don't think it is normal led...

Can anyone tell me wat it is and where to get it?
Preferably a guide on how to mod light... Thanks in advance... notworthy.gif notworthy.gif
