surprisingly my trusty old Pentium 4 2.4 @2.53 (socket 478) with 1 gyg ram + 1600pro agp can run this game at the lowest resolution (1024). I tried skirmish on the smallest map 1vs1ai and it runs pretty well, no lag at all, and then currently in campaign 2 everything seems fine. cpu temp not more than 50deg. I've built hundreds of units too just to test got lag or not, so far so good. hopefully it stays that way since im just started
*
Wth?My AMD Athlon 64-bit with 1.5GB RAM and 6600GT cant even run the game properly.

If not,i should have bought this game long time ago.

thts why i said surprisingly, anyway its been my habit to stop all background process in my pc including antivirus and spybot, to lessen the stress on the cpu. maybe thts the reason
*
I think i should try that but i have been trying to cut down lots of background processes since the first day i use that com.

Now,where is my copy of Sup Com?

It was an expressive nerd. Bizarrely, Gas Powered Games have chosen to partner with Final Fantasy creators Square Enix for the sequel.

I like this bit. biggrin.gif

Finally an RTS with a good story line.

I think the game is still on alpha,i doubt that it will be that low specs.

Probably just some development goals.

I know why you are getting Supreme Commander Gold Edition.

I have just seen in the shop selling for RM39.90 with both Supreme Commander and its expansion pack.

Now I am tempted to buy that too.
*
Not really. It's cheap in Aus now,as they are selling for 30AUD for Sup Com Gold.Thats until i see the RM40 version.

Tempted to get a copy of GE also. But looking at those vids, idk I think I'd rather stick with CoH and DoW. It's too RA-ish for me :-(
*
It's a completely different game and it's fun if your rig can take it.

It's large scale warfare.Perfect game if you are those who likes to play with toy tanks and soldiers when you are a kid as Sup Com is the digitalised version of it.

The Steam version is not worth getting though. There are numerous problems like the inability of using any mods and unable to play with retail copies.

I bought retail gold edition for mods at the end.
