Actually,i was playing the campaign's first mission and i have decided to send lots of planes and tanks to destroy that Aeon base.As a result,my com lags till it's almost unplayable.

I send like 50+ Intercepters,80+ Zeus Bomber,150+ Hunters,50+ T1 missile tank,20 T1 artillery,and a few T2 units.

Plus with the Aeon's base defense and units,there should be 500+ units on screen.

Lost almost everything in the end because i cant micro or see anything at all.

Damn,i need to upgrade my whole rig.Too slow for Sup Com.

The one you have experience is not so bad.

The one i have in the campaign ios worse.All my remaining army died in the nuclear explosion.About 100 units died in that explosion.I have to figure out a way to prevent that now.And,my 1st Monkeylord also die in a nuclear explosion.

This game doesnt have any space battle.If you want space battles,try Homeworld.

I think he meant by the slow gameplay style.Games DoW are fast paced.Sup Com... maybe med paced.

I like to move mine to the left.just like TA.

I do agree that the UI needs to be smaller.It's taking up 40% of my monitor space.

Since they have those fancy quantum gate teleporting,I dont think they need any space battles.Just teleport one near the main base and 2 hours later,10 experimental crawling in front of you.

DoW also use another kind of text editing coding call .lua or SCAR.Go download a mod and see.Most of the files there are text file and can be open by notepad.I have tried opening some of them but dont understand those codes at all. rclxub.gif rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

IMO,the reason they mod is because they have passion towards 40k universe and they want to bring in more TT unit which are not in the game like the Chaos Dreadnought,Orks Battlefortress and Eldar Striking Scropion.Besides that,the community is pretty newbie friendly,just pop up at Relic forum and they'll help you with your problems in modding.

There are other mods which i find better than Horus heresy.For example,Witch Hunter mod and Daemon Hunters mod.Just to name a few.Lazy to find the other mod thread.

No,DoW doesnt have SDK till now.They are still using the mod tools Relic gave.

DoW modder have to rely on those mod tools to do their work.

I dont know.Im still considering because my com cant really take this game.It starts to lag when my pop exceed 250,even my army only consists of land units.40 bombers with land to air combat is enough to cause my rig to lag till it's unplayable.

I might buy it but for online play,i'll keep it till i have a better rig.

I know im gonna like this game and will still play it in the years to come,just like DoW.

Is Sup Com's performance better in the full game?

It lags like mad on my com when i have 50+ planes.My rig has almost reach the recommended requirement,except the GC.

Mine lags with 50+ aircraft onscreen,with land to air combat but it's still playable.Air to air with land to air,my com will drop to <10fps per second.

Like that,i dont need to play loh.

Can Sup Com run smoothly on this rig?

C2D 6420 2.4GHz
2GB RAM
nVidia 8600GT 256MB DDR2 RAM

I have tried it on my old com and it's not running smoothly at all.That com is not my new com,it's my brother's one.

Sorry,your rig cant run Sup Com.You really need a C2D to run Sup Com.

I think i'll dump C&C3 and get Sup Com instead.No point getting a game that releases sequel almost every year.

I have tried it on my current com with a AMD Athlon 3200+,it lags with more than 50 units on screen and that the lowest possible setting.Now,you expect a P4 HT 3.0GHz to run Sup Com smoothly.I doubt that it will be much better than what have i seen on my com.

Besides,im not expecting to have a 4 on 4 battle.That might require a quad core or something better.I just want a smooth gameplay for a 2 on 2 match and in campaign.

If my current rig can run smoothly,i would have bought it months ago not now when my brother just bought his C2D.

A single core can run this game well?How you do it?Teach me please without OC-ing my AMD 3200+.Which patch did you apply?Is the official GPG's patch?

It was laggy as hell in demo and thats the reason i drop this game.

I did that with the lowest possible setting and it still lags to a slide show when there are 300 units on screen fighting each other.

I think i'll just get this game and find some way to make it run smoothly on my old rig and at the same time,enjoy a larger battles in my brother's C2D when he's in school.

Besides,any tips to make this game run more smoothly on my current single core,other than patching and upgrading?
