quick question here...when we are taking the video using our note 2...if you notice there's the 'AF' box at the bottom right... when you press it...it will disappear if you don't want it...

so which one is with the AF function actually? when the icon appear means AF is on? or when we press on that icon and make it disappear then AF is on?

Just speculating:

Maybe you have "update/sync on Wifi" turned on. Check whether your Wifi data consumption is high. This could cause the battery drain.

I think this is probably clarified in the manual (I haven't read it) but I just tested. If you tap on an area in the screen, it will focus on where you tapped. That's when the AF appears. If you tap elsewhere it will disappear.

I think it is to focus automatically on wherever you tap the screen to show that it's functioning. Otherwise it is likely an infinity focus.

Um, as far as i remember, i set that to off when i just got my phone back then.... Unless the new software update altered that....

anyways, after my dirty flash (changing ROM without wiping data, just caches and System) there's the normal acore process problem but that's history now, there are no noticeable bad things and FCs from doing a dirty flash!

Not custom ROM, theme and icons only.

It's been rumored quite a bit but actual news is still surprisingly a lot less than the Note 3. Well, another contender doesn't hurt. It may use the N-trig digitizer from the HTC flyer. That didn't do very well coz it was a separate accessory and they didn't make the OS pen-aware enough. Let's see how they will do it this time.

I couldnt recall where i turn off the auto sync... But i went through my whole settings again and made sure any 'auto' is still off.... (Except auto lock screen that is.... ) i even made sure i close all running apps....
I'm starting to regret the update.... my battery used to be able to last a whole day by night time still have 40% even on 3g until next morning.... But now on wifi which is suppose to be less battery consuming, it cant go pass evening.... At night is worse, batt goes down more than 10%.... I checked with wakelock detector and nothing unusual.... I'll charge it, so it goes to bed with 70% and next morning its 50+%

The more choice the merrier. I like the size if its 6". Not big on S-Pen coz i don't use it. 2013 will be a good year for phablets lovers. Bring them on. Can't wait till Sept/Oct to enjoy the show.

For Play Store:
Play Store>Settings>Auto-update apps make sure it's Do not Auto Update

For other stuff, go to Settings > Accounts and ensure you only sync stuff that you need syncing for each account.

You can also check on Settings > Wireless and Networks > Data Usage > Wifi to see what's consuming your data, and therefore juice.

Of course you could also install BetterBatteryStats or GSAM Battery Monitor as well.
