Then lets not wait. Just get the rootkeeper and try updating!

Unfortunately rootkeeper failed to keep the root. So if root is really important, keep away from the update

Things that I noticed, colour scheme changed a bit. For example the water resistant warning is now in white instead of black.
UI change, no more fading when screen turns off, it just turn off right away. Because entire /system gets rewritten, rootkeeper just fails. Album and walkman seems to be updated, but I never used it extensively, it just looks a little different. |

Actually I noticed my battery didn't last as long as 4.2.1. The latest 244 update was even worse. Not sure because of the firmware or my apps went wild but batterystats was fine

QUOTE(uzary @ Aug 1 2013, 11:14 PM) Actually I never use the phone with that much SOT. But generally speaking, moderate usage, with 4.1.2, I go home with 60% power. With first 4.2.2, I go home 30-40% everyday. Since the 244 update yesterday, yesterday i came home with 1% remaining, today 20%. |

Yes, normal. Water resistance will still work until to one day, it fails. The flap is replaceable at RM35.

I can't wait for the Album and Walkman update over OTA for 244 firmware, I downloaded the APK and installed over. Seems like battery life is really better, although still too short to conclude

Are there fast dormancy support for DiGi (or any other telco)? I disabled my fast dormancy from build.prop, seems like battery life improved by few folds. Not sure is it Album/walkman update or disabling fast dormancy effect.

Somehow mine has no sign of OTA update on the .244 firmware. So I install manually Album, Walkman and Movies

QUOTE(pikachu01 @ Aug 6 2013, 04:19 PM) I just edit build.prop. ro.enable.fast_dormancy=falseNo more 2000 alarm wakes on betterbatterystats. My battery life now is still 86%, never this good ever since I got 4.2.2 update. Please check if command is correct, I'm using memory only. QUOTE(darude87 @ Aug 6 2013, 04:19 PM) hmm, possible its due to the 2 apps update? cause my phone indeed has better standby after updating walkman and album. Highly possible too. Yesterday I did 2 things one shot, update the apps and also turn off fast dormancy. |

QUOTE(mafioso @ Aug 6 2013, 04:37 PM) read about fast dormancy before. what does it do actually? Not clock alarm. I'm referring to alarm wakelocks that bring up processor state to active at scheduled interval.and if its like this means we wont be able to really use our alarms anymore? Fast dormancy should help to improve battery life if the carrier supports it. The phone can fall back to lower connection speeds for battery efficiency and increase it only when it's needed. i.e. H+/H <-> 3G. I don't know how to check on my Sony device. I just try disabling it and it felt good for battery. |

I'm on stock ROM.
No effect to data speed. With disabled fast dormancy, the speed will always be highest state. |

QUOTE(darude87 @ Aug 6 2013, 05:31 PM) thx, i'll take a look when i reach home Mine appears as alarm wake locks, not secril_fd_interfacei read a page on the internet saying, if the telco doesn't support fast dormancy and we had it enable, we will get a kernal wakelock name "secril_fd-interface" http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-kwDkvGYsLDQ/T-aS...24+15.29.21.png QUOTE(Ojil @ Aug 6 2013, 09:54 PM) Depends whether is it user negligence or not. Surely all indicators will eventually turn pink as long as there's water inside the phone. Just let Sony do the check and they'll tell you whether they will cover with warranty or not. QUOTE(triumx @ Aug 7 2013, 05:59 AM) Hi guys and girls, Why not send it to Sony service center? Did you have water damage too?
