Just a little question regarding GoW here, I am playing on an 17" LCD monitor and the resolution in xbox was set to 1280x1024 and it looks absolutle right in the dashboard, but when I try to play GoW it was in a wide screen mode. Then I tried changing the reso to 1024x768, but it is still the same.

So I wonder is there any way I can play GoW on my 17" without wide screen? coz it is giving me thick black borders on both top and bottom of the screen which is not fun. Not to mention that the image also seems to be a little stretch (fenix looks fatter on my monitor)

Hope someone here can point me to the right direction. It isnt so cool when the game force u to play in widescreen mode when your monitor is not a wide screen.

if not wrong, the game was design that way.

If you read the Xbox 360 Buyer's Guide / FAQ, it is stated that some game will force you to play in widescreen mode even if you're using non-widescreen display.

Actually, out of all games that I own, only Dead or Alive 4, Dead or Alive Xtreme 2, and Viva Piņata didn't force me to use widescreen mode when played on PC Monitor using VGA cable. All the other game does.

Weirdly, Gears of War & Top Spin 2 was displayed in full-screen when I played them on normal 4:3 standard TV. Didn't try other games on SDTV so I don't know if they'll be displayed normally on SDTV or not.

at 1st mine got those black borders thingy.......but after kaedah cube dan jaya....got to full screen.......

o ye ke.....i think i gonna try simply add je la kan....its sad that my friends list still kosong...hehehe...(padehal baru beli mlm semalam...)
