Oh hey, kirby-esque team-play in adventure mode! It's been ages since Kirby Superstar, this one will be some awesome 2P fun.

Note:HAL labs also developed the kirby games.

Even the creator/director favors the Gamecube controller for it's 'rumble', earlier mentioned in the blogs life.

The only GC controller i have is a wavebird, so... no rumble for me either, haha!

the new online play demo shows kirby's final smash in action! I loved watching kirby use that cute one-shot cook power(from kirby superstar). Seems to do a hell lot of damage, apart from the free food you get from it. No aiming issues either!

Now i'm kinda torn. I used to main with Kirby in the original game(he was kinda cheap, i'll admit!), but Melee's kirby was kinda nerfed so i mained Shiek instead. I was plenty happy when they announced that the TP Zelda still has a Shiek alter-ego; i kinda speculated a seperate, unlockable "ocarina" zelda.

Hmm, they better have a Midna somewere in there...

Nub sounds so pro in this game shocking.gif

Must train Brawl to a competitive level! Button-mashing to hell! tongue.gif

Trying to master Samus player, and oh, in that new dojo video, the final smash is seen, invulnerable during the blast? Funny, the opponent had to wait 1/2 a second before she stopped(and changed to Zero suit) to smash her away rclxub.gif Crazy shit of a beam.

I can hold my own against the harder single player modes, but the only multiplayer i did were with my siblings, and they kinda suck, so the online multiplayer is a very welcome addition.

Thing is, newcomers usually rely too much on the B button(pikaa-chu here, spin attack there) and forget why the game is called melee. Shiek's forward smash is this neat double kick thing that doesn't really smash(makes the star rod shoot 2 stars, though!), but she moves fast and her attacks are easy to connect. Samus is kinda like Shiek except her B moves are actually useful.

I'd still use Kirby if they didn't nerf pretty much all of his moves' hit priorities. Forget final cutter, even his stone drop is slower and hard to connect in melee!

While we're at it, is any of our local suppliers taking preorders yet?

Now they're cramming classic game demos into the game. Hmm, i'm reminded of the GC animal crossing's NES games...

I'm... starting to suck at this game. Last night i tried All-Star mode, normal difficulty on Melee, and i can't even reach the last battle... 10 challengers left i think. cry.gif

i have a bad feeling i wont be able to get a copy of this game this coming thurs.... amazon doesnt seem to be accepting preorders and major retailers have stopped their preorders...
Wha, you're straight away getting the japanese smash brothers X? Wouldn't that mean you won't be able to join our brawls later?

Oh, you're the japan guy, i forget.

As for the cross-region multiplayer... i just did a quick check at the dojo, and i think we're safe.

But because this form of communication is greatly affected by the distance between you and your opponent, your brawls may not run smoothly if you're really far apart-like, for instance, if you're connecting between Japan and America.

Nice long opening. Looks like they threw away that "toys coming to life" theme.
There was another cut scene posted where bowser shoots something at DK which turns him into a trophy.

Oh wow, 6 hours and joystiq got hold of all the updates. Windwaker Link is confirmed.

The 35 character roster mockup people were talking about last week is turning out to be totally true.

Screw this "spoiling" shit! I'm the kind of guy who goes to the internet to find out endings to a movie when i'm too lazy to watch more than 20 minutes of it.

Wolf is from the Starfox series. I want to play this game....

I know that, but... do we really need 3 Foxes? Similar B moves(well, falco doesn't have the down+B reflector), identical final smashes! Sure, different A moves, but wtf!?
