Second phase of Tropicana Aman soon

PETALING JAYA: Tropicana Corp Bhd will launch the second phase of its mixed township development Tropicana Aman in Shah Alam next month.



In a statement, the property developer said the first phase of Tropicana Aman – called Arahsia Residences, which comprised 432 units of link homes, with a gross development value of RM342mil – had already been fully taken up since its launch in May 2015.



“Spanning 863 acres, Tropicana Aman is our biggest township development in Malaysia. It is also our first foray into Shah Alam,” Tropicana non-executive chairman Datuk Seri Mohamad Norza said at the opening of the group’s new property gallery in Tropicana Aman yesterday.



The new 12-acre property gallery is located on the development site at Bandar Tropicana Aman, next to the growing neighbourhood of Kota Kemuning in Shah Alam, it said in the statement.



It will also be promoting Tropicana Aman’s “Walking and Biking Community” concept.

SHAH ALAM: Tropicana Corp Bhd expects to launch RM700 million of the RM13 billion gross development value (GDV) of the Tropicana Aman development here this year, said its group managing director Datuk Edmund Kong.



Spanning across 863 acres, Tropicana Aman is a self-contained mixed township development situated next to Kota Kemuning. It will have 20 phases.



It is the property developer's biggest township development in Malaysia and also the group's first foray into Shah Alam. It is Tropicana's fifth township development in the Klang Valley.



The first phase of Tropicana Aman, called Arahsia Residences, has a GDV of RM342 million and was launched in May 2015 with all 432 units of link homes taken up. It is expected to be completed in three years.



The second phase, which consists of 372 units of double-storey and three-storey houses, will be launched in August. The double-storey house is expected to be priced at RM850,000 and the three-storey house above RM1 million.



"The commercial centres will come in later part in the development. Kota Kemuning is nearby and there are existing shops. We want to look at how mature this development is before we put in the commercial centres," Kong told a press conference after opening the Tropicana Aman property gallery here yesterday.



Tropicana has also entered into an agreement with Tenby Schools to build a 10-acre international school campus within the vicinity of Tropicana Aman. With build-up area of 225,000 sq ft, the school will be able to accommodate up to 1,800 students.



Tenby International School is expected to have its first intake in September 2018, offering international student-oriented programmes for students aged three to 18 years old.
