Are u sure about the calculation? If that the case, than i'll be happy to buy anything that heavier than 6.4kg.
All this while, I thought caj minimum means u will be charged RM322.15 if ur item weighs no more than 6.4kg. If the weight more than 6.4kg, let say between 6.4 - 44kg, they will charge u 322.15 + 50.03 = 372.18.
BTW, i bought many items from overseas, but so far i'm very lucky. The last item i bought was coach handbag for my wife from ebay USA and the value is more than RM1,000, but no tax imposed.
The heaviest item i ever bought from oversea is PSU - Thermaltake Tough power 1200watt.. Safely reach my hand but i think that time, all computer components are non-taxable.

I'm facing problems also with my shipments, 7 in total. I split my packages to avoid being taxed and although they are below the RM500 (including freight), I've been slapped with duties. I've yet to see the Custom's boss for my shipments on hold.
However, I would like to add to the above quote selected. I've confirmed with the DHL agent (who's handling my shipments), that for packages weighing more than the minimum, in this case, above 6.4kg - 44kg, the charges will be 322.15 + 50.03 = 372.18 and not just 50.03. If it is 50.03, I will also be bringing back my orders by the container.
If any of you have the details of duty rates imposed for different type of items purchased overseas, please post here. I've been browsing through quite a number of sites and don't seem to get the correct answer.
One particular lady bought a branded handbag and was taxed 10% only. When I checked with my DHL agent, for a canvas bag from Gap, it was 25% + 10%.
Appreciate any feedback on the duty rates.
Thank you.
