Anybody had problem with twiz overtaking the nova launcher?
e.g: pressing back from reading email returns the user to twiz instead of nova. Already set nova as default launcher.

try freezing the nova. it wont work best if you have two launchers installed like that.
*
can you please explain on that? using nova as my day to day launcher. no intention of rooting and going vanilla as of now.

Less "registered" users. I think people who chose HTC made a conscious decision based on their technical awareness since HTC did not make a big marketing splash, and they know about LYN.

I'm sure there are lots more people with S4 but this is just "let's get a Samsung S4" because of the marketing. So you will get lots of people who got the S4 but completely unaware of the existence of the LYN forum.

I'm sure lots of people in /k/ have an S4, but probably never bother coming to the Android forums.

Eynox or Snapdragon version?

Snapdragon. I didn't use the "official" wireless back cover though. Bought 3rd party wireless transmitter and reciever instead. I can still keep the thickness at minimum, wear my back case and still do wireless charging without the slightly bigger back cover. tongue.gif

Hi there,

Wanna ask, what kind of Qi transmitter are you using? Can it go through the case you have?

I'm using this kind of case here but the waves cannot go through. :/
*
I bought mine here. managed to charge through spigen neo hybrid. haven't tried on those thick leather flip cases though. hmm.gif

Yes I strongly suggest get wireless charging device ASAP. Galaxy phone usb port sucks and will be loose with 4 mths and too loose to charge properly. My 6 mth old s3 already sent in claim Bcoz of that. My friends reporting same issue with their ports.
*
+1. Albeit the downside of slightly longer charging time, I still prefer wireless charging compared to conventional. got one for home and one for office. less messy. icon_idea.gif

Looks like this bro cool2.gif ,

user posted image

No need to change back cover, just align the receiver to the copper nubs. it is not sticking if you didn't open the adhesive tape so it is not permanent and it is kept in place by the back cover. FYI, when you open the back cover, the wireless receiver boleh jatuh dan hilang selama lamanya if you are not careful. doh.gif

if you really want to jump, get the GE version. S4 with tw is really hopeless
*
don't forget to check the comparisons first though. most of the reviews suggest that GE version is less optimized? compared to S4 with TW.

One of the latest comparison : here

really? I doubt Google will bring in GE version, must be AP i think  ohmy.gif

why hopeless  hmm.gif  any major problem?
*
most of the gimmicks that came with TW are unused by consumers aside from a few nifty ones. for those who don't use them, TW is just a bloat which eats their space. tongue.gif

I think it will be less optimized as well when it first come out coz Samsung heavily focus on their software side  unsure.gif

And google edition is not pure android as it seems though. more like a hybrid. nevertheless, if its available, people will still buy it. All hail marketing skills!! notworthy.gif

win win situation, people want Google vanila feel then buy it. If me, I will probably buy LTE version and flash to AOSP ROM. Have best of both world  thumbup.gif
*
that brings back to something that someone said during ***** few weeks ago. "Would you still use an OS that looks dated, unchanged from 2008 while all its competitors are updating their Os'es"

For myself, am using the LTE version and quite happy with the phone (until a better model crops out). brows.gif

*
Yeap. the current state of custom roms in xda-dev is still in early stages for S4. need to wait a bit longer. As of now, i'll stick with stock whistling.gif

pure vanilla android experience!! thumbup.gif  thumbup.gif

Almost! Samsung and HTC played a bit of their own flair into the OS. that's why you can still use flip cover as per normal s4. still waiting for latest updates from Xda. thumbup.gif

S4 is expected to be a top seller, so I guess it will qualify some time down the road. I think Otterbox chooses Armor phones carefully, probably only the top 2 get it.

Or else a Seidio Obex.

As of now got these models from Otterbox
